Sera grinned, completely happy with that news and the fact that Stacey was still in one piece. "That's great! See? I knew you'd kick ass!" She hugged her friend tightly.
Meanwhile, Tom walked over to Doug and gave him a brief summary of what had happened.

"thank you for the brief summary" Doug mumbled and shrugged '" Time to write our reports then?" he sighed, not looking forward to the deskjob.
"we did, well.. Tom did mainly, but yeah.. we might have to testify against this guy, but I'm okay with that. Anything to get him behind bars" she grinned, letting go of her friend " How are you ? Did Doug take good care of you?"
"The best!" Doug yelled, overhearing Stacy.

Sera rolled her eyes at Doug's shouting. "Fine. I don't mind testifying either.." She grinned. "I'm so glad this guy is going away."
Tom smirked, "Yeah. Anyway. I told Stacey to stay around some longer, yknow. To testify and.. maybe find a good place to stay or someting."

"me too.. me too' Stacy glanced at the table and then sat down on it "I eh.. I'm going to stay here a bit longer, I mean.. if you will as well, cause like.. Tom said that maybe there are places in the neighbourhood that can help us.. I don't know much about it but it is worth looking into it right ?"
Doug nodded "Agree completely, I said the same to Sera, I looked up a place that helps kids like that get a home and education.. we can't send these girls back on the street "

"...Help us how?" Sera put her arms around herself, getting a little insecure again.
Tom nodded, glad that Doug had the same trail of thoughts that he had. "Okay. So, maybe we should go with them tomorrow and check that place out." He suggested.

"ehm.. I don't know" she admitted "But Tom is going to take us to some kind of a carecentre tomorrow, that helps homeless people. I think they want to get us functioning normally again. Maybe we'd be able to get a home ? or go back to school or something.."
"Hey, I'm up for it" Doug said with a nod "Where are those two staying then tonight?" he wondered, though he was scared he already knew the answer..

Sera smiled slightly. "That's really sweet of him." She said. "I thought we'd just have to go back to the street now.."
Tom knew that Doug probably already guessed what he was going to say. So he just scratched behind his ear, shrugged his shoulders and gave Doug a look. "Well yknow. I couldn't exactly kick 'em out on the street again so. Yeah. Don't tell the captain."

"I won't.. I might have even done the same thing" she said "..if it weren't for the fact that I'm having a girl coming over for a date tonight" he grinned, jup things were good. They solved a case and were still alive, what more could a guy wish for?
"No, no. Tom is not like that, he invited us back to his home.. how nice is that?" she smiled "But don't tell anyone.

"aah, I hear jealousy" DOug laughed.
"I know, which is why we're not gonna say anything. We don't want him to get into trouble now do we? and neither do I want to sleep at some clinic or something.. rather sleep at Tom's house, at least that's familiar"
