Tom Hanson walked into the Jump Street chapel at 9 am sharp. Him and Doug were supposed to meet for their new assignment: being undercover on the streets for as long as it took to find a killer. Three bodies in a few weeks had been enough to call it a pattern.
So now they were going undercover. In his oldest clothes (ripped jeans, grey shirt, battered leather jacket), Hanson figured he pulled of the look. Things seemed a little more serious this time. They couldn't be armed. They couldn't carry ID on 'em, or even a wallet with some cash. They couldn't go home to sleep or anything. They were really gonna live it up - to be as credible enough to both the homeless kids and the possible killer.
If anything, Tom just hoped it'd help to speed to progress up.

Doug Penhall grinned at himself in the mirror, he messed his hair up one last time and nodded "Even homeless and messy I look good" he joked and looked up at Tom "Ready to lose your home?" he smirked at him. It seemed as if he didn't take this too seriously, yet underneath that attitude he was. This was different from all the other assignments he had so far, this was more dangerous. Danger siked him but it also frightened him...a little bit, just a little bit.

"Sure." Tom left his wallet with bank- and identity cards on his desk. Fuller would look after all that stuff while they were undercover.
He looked over to Doug and managed a serious face. "Weren't you supposed to dress up?" He asked, pretending as if Doug showed up to work like this every day. He then grinned a little though, which betrayed that he was joking. "Let's go."

Doug grinned "I'd be jealous too if I was you, not many can look like this all the time. Cheer up body, you still have .. yeah what do you have that's better then my qualities" he laughed and walked out of jump street together with his partner. They couldn't take the car this time, if only to get into their new character. Doug Fisher, homeless bigmouth and rebel...
At the corner of a deserted street a group of youngsters had gathered. One of them was Stacy, she had a woolen hat on, pulled almost over her eyes. It was cold today, colder then the days before, winter was setting in, the worst period of living on the street. "Where the heck is Jimmy, he ought to have something by now, I'm hungry" she muttered, agitated that her lunch/breakfast had still not arrived..

"Hope you brought a central heater." Tom smirked, as he and Doug walked down the streets towards the district where the killings had occured. He rubbed his hands together, getting the chill out of his bones.
"Ugh, Stacy.. he's always late." Sera spoke up. She looked at the people walking past - people on their way to work, school, wherever. Everyone seemed in a hurry. Sera pulled her collar up. "Does anyone have a few bucks to spare? I'd kill to sit in a coffeeshop for a few hours right now." She smirked.

"I thought you were gonna keep me warm" he smirked and rolled his eyes "How do these kids do this? " he wondered to himself and looked around "and where are they.. ?'
"Seraa, don't say that stuff, you know people do kill for that kinda stuff, its terrible... " she looked at the same people Sera was staring at "We could beg again.. or just take some money.. you keep em distracted I'll steal it, we can sit in a coffeeshop..just the two of us though" she mumbled, glancing at the others, they never did much to get something so she refused to let them enjoy their stolen goods or money.

"Well, we're gonna find out." Tom said. They turned another corner, walking into the worse part of town. This was the part where you could expect prostitution, adult video shops, the cheapest hotels. And more importantly, the homeless. There was a small group of them - young people - at the end of the street. "Doug.." Tom fixed his partners attention on it.
"Sorry." Sera excused her poor choice of words. "But yknow what I mean." She listened to her friends suggestions on how to get money, and bit her lip. "I guess. I just don't wanna get into trouble again. It'd be better to keep low profile." Being on the streets wasn't the safest thing these days.

"Yeah" Doug followed the direction in which Tom was looking "aaand we found em" he mumbled "Great, now all we have to do is blend in and find the killer" he said, as if it was a piece of cake. He headed the homeless people's way.
"Fine, then we'll wait for Jimmy' she agreed and leant against the wall "yknow, I heard they think Christian didn't kill himself but was murdered" she started conversation about the second murdered kid "I wonder why anyone would murder him, he meant nothing.. I think he wanted to kill himself a long time ago already, makes more sense.."

"Right. No problem. Piece of cake. We'll be outta here before six." Hanson smirked at Doug's optimistic way of putting it. He shoved his hands down his pockets as they walked up to the group of kids at the streetcorner.
"I don't think he killed himself." Sera said, putting her arms around herself. She wasn't really cold anymore, but just talking about this subject brought shivers down her spine regardless. Holding herself, she glanced over to her friend, "I heard people say he was strangled." She looked down the street again, and spotted two guys walking in their direction. Seeing their beat-down shoes, dirty ripped jeans, and shapeless coats, she thought they could be one of their own. "Hey, Stace." She nudged her friend. "Look." Both of them knew most of the homeless - and new people on the block were news.

Stacy glanced at the newbies, two guys, looking kind of scruffy. "Well well, new kids on the block" She grinned "whats happening to everyone nowadays, is it cool to live on the street or what?" she mumbled, not understanding why anyone would live on the street, unless they had good reason like her. "You guys lost?" Stacy said out loud to Doug and Tom
Doug shrugged "Hard to get lost when the streets are your home" he answered.
