Stacy filled her plate with bread, eggs and other lunchy stuff, and poured some soup into a small bowl. She found a table for them all and sat down, eager to start eating. "So, your boss mr. captain just gave us permission to sleep in this station for tonight" Stacy said to Tom, figuring there was no sense to wait with telling him this news. "Guess you won't have guests after all" she smiled slightly.

"Oh, okay. That's good." Tom nodded, sorta glad about that. At least his job wouldn't be at risk again then. "You are gonna check out that place tomorrow, right?"

"Yes we are, and .. if you still want to come along.. I'd be glad if you wanted to be there yknow ?" Stacy said slowly, not sure how to tell Tom that she felt more comfortable with him around in general. He started to mean a lot to her, which was very new in her situation. A guy managing to get close to her heart.

He gave her a reassuring smile, glad that she was at a point that she trusted him enough to want him there. ....Even after she found out that they met primarily based on a lie.
"I'll be there." He promised her. "I'm glad you decided to go."

"Yes well... maybe things can't get much worse than they are. I realise that now. And if there are people who can help us get our lives back on track, make a living and try to have somewhat of a normal life.." she played with her food "I just don't want to live on the street the rest of my life, I've got more in me than begging for food or sometimes even stealing"

Stacy saw the look on his face, he seemed very convinced of what he was saying. It made her blush a little and she quickly continued eating.
Doug glanced from Stacy to Tom and back again, then he nudged Tom and smirked. "Take it easy casanova" He said quietly "Now she's all shy"

Stacey realised that after diner everyone would probably leave and they would be alone at the police station for a whole night.
