Tom and Doug got out of the car too, to accompany the girls inside and see to it that they did get admitted to the centre.
Sera took a hold of Stacey's hand as they went inside. "Oh my god." She mumbled. "I'm so nervous I could throw up." She kept her voice low, not wanting the whole world to hear.
Nonetheless, when they got to the reception desk, she gave her and Stacey's name to the receptionist quite bravely. The woman told them to go to one of the offices down the hall, to talk to a lady who would decide whether or not they could get help.
"You guys are coming, right?" Sera asked Tom and Doug nervously.

Doug nodded "Sure" he said. Afterall, Fuller had asked them to round the case off by making sure Stacey and Sera would get the help they needed and deserved.
Stacey told a woman both their names again and then they followed the woman inside a small office with four chairs. Doug sat down "I'm Officer Doug Penhall and this is officer Tom Hanson, we worked undercover with these girls on the street and solved a case thanks to them. Our captain has asked us to make sure they'd get off the streets"
"Certainly mister Penhall, we'll see what we can do" she smiled at him "First, let me ask the girls a few questions. She grabbed a form and a pen. "How old are you ?
"15, almost 16, my birthday is in a month" Stacey answered and started fiddling with her jacket.

"I'm sixteen." Sera answered the question as well.
For about 15 minutes, the conversation continued in this fashion. The woman would ask them something, and they would answer to their best ability. There were questions about their lives on the streets, like did they stay in one permanent place? But also questions about their family, did they have anyone to turn to? They both answered no to that one. After a while the lady asked Tom and Doug some questions too, about the days they spend with the girls.
Eventually, she seemed to be thinking positively about their admittance to the centre though. She gave Stacy and Sera a smile.
"Last but not least," She announced one more question. "Do you want to join us here? Would you follow the programme we set out for you to rehabilitate in society with our guidance?"
Sera nodded immediately. "Yes, yes we would. Right Stace?"

"Absolutely. Tom and Doug told us what this centre does for girls such as us, and I am more than willing to do my best and fit in and make something better of my life. We could do so much better, I think.."

"Alright, ladies," She gives them a friendly smile, "I think you came to the right place. We're going to try to help you. I'll give you a form to fill out, and after that we can make this definite."
Sera broke up in a huge grin, "Really!? Thanks so much!"

Stacey giggled nervously "Thank you so much, you will not regret this!" She turned to Sera and gave her a big hug all of a sudden "We're off the streets! We're finally off the streets. We can go and build our dream!"

After Stacey and Sera filled out the forms, the lady informed them of what would happen next. They would get a room in the building, in a hallway where more girls with their history stayed. They could live there for as long as needed. From there on they could work on their education, catching up on highschool, getting a bankaccount and hopefully getting a job.. Anything that was needed to eventually come back to society normally.
When she was done with her explanation, everybody got up from their seats.
"I'll show you your room." The lady smiled. "Is there anything else you gentlemen need to know?" She asked Doug and Tom.
"I think that's pretty much it." Tom answered. His gaze went to Sera and Stacey and he smiled, genuinely happy that this was getting wrapped up nicely. The girls would get a second chance, and Tom felt content that they helped them get this far.
"So.. I guess this is it." He told them. "...Yknow, if things don't work out well.. you can give us a call or something, okay?" He offered.

"Yes, this is it then.." Stacey stared at Doug and Tom. With all this going on she actually start feeling a bit emotional.
Doug smirked a little, not good with goodbye's. "Come on, you guys'll end up president now with such good help"
Stacey grinned "If so then I'll let you come over to the white house to have tea with me" She gave Doug a small hug and then looked at Tom. Tears welled up in her eyes again and she quickly hugged him so he couldn't see his face "Thank you' she whispered "For everything"

Sera hugged Doug too, while Stacey was hugging Tom. "Thanks so much." She said.
Tom embraced Stacey and smiled, "No problem. Good luck here, alright? You'll be doing great." He told her, before he let go of her.

"Thank you.. I'll.. I'll let you know how we are.. I can write you a letter and send it to the station" She said, a reassuring thought that he wouldn't be out of her life just as fast as he had appeared in it.
