"YOU! Know your place! That is what you do! Do not continue to preach at me!" I raise my finger, "I have no need to give gifts to you. Nor the money for it either! You live in this estate, what more do you want from me?! I do not HATE you, I simpley have no need to feel for anyone. It would be a waste of time." I rant, taking off my shirt to change into the other.. "I shall keep up appearances. I *am* keeping up appearances. Though it would be A LOT easier if you didn't stand there glaring at me all of the time!"'
I do as he says, going into the other room to wake them and get them dressed. Louis, who believes himself old enough, at the age of 10, refuses to let me touch him, decidedly stubborn since we had to flee, leaving all of his friends behind us.

"You're inhuman," I growl, despite my eyes filling with tears. "I love you," or at least have very strong feelings for him, I haven't decided if it's love or not, but I choose not to tell him that, "And you can just dismiss me so easily,"
I put Amelie down with her sister, letting Elisabeth dress them both. Dressing the children is not a mans job. I watch Louis proudly, he will become a fine man when he's older, he's already learning well from me, I like to think. I pat the boy on the head, messing up his hair, much to Louis's displeasure.

"AH! Papa!" He yells, as Amelie giggles up at him, letting her mother pin back her hair.
I stand there, frowning at her, before I continue to get dresses, not caring that shes standing there. That's her own problem. "I will dismiss you whenever I like, Madame." I mutter, "If you decide to love me, that is something you must deal with, not me. Just because we are married in law, does not mean we are married in any other form of the word. You are young, you know nothing of the world. And you are living in some strange reality, which I suggest you snap out from. I have an estate to run, I have a business to keep up, you could at least do YOUR job and produce me an heir."

I smirk a little at Louis. I put my hand on his back and lead him towards the door, holding my hand out to take Maria's tiny hand in mine. "Now we've just got to find the dining hall," I smile a little at Elisabeth.
I raise my hand and slap his face as hard as possible. "You will not speak to me like that," I said sternly. "I cannot produce you an heir when we do not even sleep in the same bed. I will make the effort when you do,"

"You are lucky I do not take you now, you stupid whore. Get out of her. Go to the dining room!" I yell, I've had quite enough of this, I just want her to get away from me.
"Papa! Papa! Will we see the horses again! Papa!!" Maria bounces up and down, still musing about the horse and carriage that brought them here last night. "I'm sure the maids will let you go down to the stables sometime this afternoon, dear."

I glance up when I hear yelling down the other end of the hallway. Quite the opposite to what the couple seemed like earlier. "I'm sure you can see the horses whenever you want to, darling," I smile at my daughter, distracting them from the shouting as we walk down the stairs, I don't want my children listening to that. "And when you're a little bigger, I'll teach you to ride if you like," I say, since I have nothing better to do with my time now we've got to lay low.
I bite my lower lip, stopping myself from saying anything else. I lift the bottom of my skirt and kick him as hard as I could in the shin. Not very lady like, but as he so bluntly said before, when behind closed doors ... I turn and leave the bedroom.

"Oh! Yay!" She grins, exciting at that prospect.
I let out a loud groan as he kicks me.. "URGH! You little bitch!" I call after her as she leaves.. This day is getting worse by the minute. I pull on my jacket and belt, putting my sword beside it.

I grin back at my daughter, amazed at how happy she could actually be in their situation. I wished I could be so blind to what was really going on.
I rush down the hallway, tears running down my cheek. I'm so angry at him, I hate him so much right now. I feel so confused. I rush past the family on the stairs, seeing the happy grinning children makes me feel worse. I can't help but wonder, if I produce him an heir, then what? I'd have no further purpose. Would he just toss me aside like a used whore? But if I didn't produce an heir, then what would happen then? I'd probably be tossed aside anyway. I sighed. I cannot win either way.

I glance at the woman as she almost runs past us.. a frown comes to my face. I exchange a look with Gaspard.
Grumbling to myself, I head out onto the hallway, taking a shortcut through the maid's quarters to the dining hall to avoid running into anyone.

I glance at my wife with a shrug, "English," I mouth with a slight smirk. I walked in the direction the woman had just ran, following her to the dining hall with a trail of children behind me. I seat the children around the table before holding the chair out for his wife.I was about to go and sit at the head of the table when I realised; I'm not the head of the house. With a slight shake of the head I seat myself opposite my wife.
I sit at the end of the table, staring at my husbands empty seat. The maids bring in the trays of food, and place a bowl of soup in front of me. I mumble a thank you to Jane and silently sip the soup off the spoon.
