I glance over to the woman, and all the children stare. I forgot we were in such a protestant country. I've never had a meal before saying grace before.
I make my way there in no time, though find them all already seated. I form a smile and approach the table anyway, "Sorry about my distruption, I got distracted with some.. other affairs." I make up, quickly, as I take my seat.

I notice my wife staring, and lightly shake my head at her, trying to tell her not to say anything, I will say grace in my head, and hope they did the same.
"Apologises for starting without you, dear" I say bitterly, "I didn't realise you'd be joining us,"
"Mama, can we begin yet?" Amelie whines, confused by the new routine.

"... Of course I would be." I give her a short glance before starting my meal aswell.
I blink a little, looking aside to her.. "Yes, dear."

"Oh ... oopsy," I roll my eyes at my husband and turn my attention to Elisabeth. "So, how are you liking England so far? I bet it's a lot different to France," I say, trying to make conversation.
I lean over to Louis and lay his napkin across his lap for him. "Papa, I want to do it!"

I look over to her, trying not to be distracted by Louis as he makes a fuss.. "Uhm, well. I cannot say. We haven't see much of it." I admit, swallowing a little.

"Oh yes, of course," I say, "Well, we must change that then," I smile. "We have some wonderful gardens here, and I shall take you and your daughters shopping," I say, purposely looking at my husband, knowing how he doesnt like me spending. Well, now I will spend all the more. "We must get you into some decent clothes,"

I keep my cold gaze on her, not diverting it as I slowly eat my soup.
I give her a smile, "Oh that would be wonderful." I agree. "And! and and.. will we see the horses?" Maria adds, grinning.

I smile at the little girl, "I'll get Jane to take you out to see the horses after you've eaten all your dinner," I say, purposely trying to annoy Edward.

Maria grins and continues to eat.
"Tomorrow morning we will go on a hunt, you and your son may join us if you like." I add, attempting to divert the attention away from Katherine.

Louis gasped. "Papa! A real hunt!" The boy squealed. His parents had so far not allowed him to go on a hunt, he had always stayed home with Elisabeth and the girls. I nod, "If it is ok with my wife, for Louis to join us," I say, looking up at her.
