"No. My wife... hasn't been able to produce one." I frown a little, attempting to make it seem like something medical rather than.. social.
"Thank you." I smile a little, again. Taking a breath as I look out of the window.

"Oh, that's a shame," I say, "Children really are such a wonderful gift," I rub Louis hair again.
The carriage stops outside the tailors, and I wait for the driver to open the door and help me out, and then he helps out the children and Elisabeth. I lead them inside. "Good morning madam," The tailor says when they enter. "Good morning," I smile, walking over to him. "This is my ... cousin, Elisabeth, and her two children. I'd like to have them fitted for some dresses," I nod at Elisabeth as the trailor produces a book of swatches for them to choose their fabric.

"Well... we will continue to try." I reply, unsure how true that is, but at least it supports the conversation.. "You're lucky to have such a good, strong lad."

I nod, "It's such a relief when our first born popped out and it was a boy," I shook my head. "Not, I suppose that that matter anymore, it's not as if I have anything for him to carry on after I'm gone, we're fugitives, runaways, we've got nothing to live on,"

"Mmm." I frown, "Well, there's always chance to set up a new life when you return. Maybe there is some hope left at the end of this mess.. How old was your wife when she had your son?"

"Urm... fifteen I think," I nod, "She's a natural born mother, I'm very lucky indeed,"
I sit in a chair next to a 180degree mirror as the tailor measures Elisabeth. I flick through the samples of fabric, pointing out a couple I like to Elisabeth.

I watch her, feeling very modest about this, secretly agreeing to all of the cheapest I can find for me and the girls.
".. Indeed. I'm not sure Katherine ever had it in her."

I order the dresses after they've finished measuring and arrange to pick them up in 2 days time when they've had time to make them.
"Although childbirth does change women, you never know, it might ... calm ... her down," I say, trying not to be too rude.

I grin a little, studying the wine in my glass, "That would deffinately be of benefit."
"Mama! Mine will be blue! With petite flowers! All over!" Amelie smile, excited as I pick her up, heading back to the carriage.

I laugh a little. "Women are strange creatures indeed. Sometimes I wonder if they're worth all the trouble they put us through," I smirk a little, feeling a bit more relaxed. "Don't get me wrong, I love my wife more than anything else, but sometimes she can be such hard work,"
"You've got such sweet children," I smile, following her into the carriage, feeling suddenly maternal and wishing for children of my own.
