Samantha sat in the back of the tavern, mug of ail in hand. Her long auburn hair nearly covered her beautiful, slender face, yet her Oceanic blue eyes squinted directly out the door, staring at nothing in particular; only thinking. She would find a way to get aboard Jack's ship, and once that had been accomplished, she would find a way to steal the map from him. she propped her boot covered foot onto the table and slammed down the rest of her pint. Pulling her hair back she slid a hat over the top of her head and threw a few coins on the table.
It was time to put her plan into action

Jack Sparrow walked into The Crusaders Tavern, as he has many of times before. He ordered a mug of rum then threw a few coins at the wench, behind the bar. Tortuga was a bit more rambunctious then usual, but it was nothing that surprised him. There were bullets flying, drunken pirates fighting, and getting thrown out, and he could hardly hear himself think over the noise. Though these were a few of the things that made Jack feel at home when he was there.
He had Gibbs set up a table to recruit people to join his crew. There weren't many whilling pirates that night, although most of them were far to drunk to understand in the first place. Jack sat in a chair and kicked his feet up on the table. He began playing with his compass and other trinkets while Gibbs colected crew members.

Samantha made her way to Gibbs' table. "I'd like to join." she said, gathering a manly voice, and crossing her arms over her chest.

Jack raised an eyebrow as he watched Gibbs except this woman, that was clearly posing as a man. He thought about saying something but decided not to yet. He wanted to hear more from her first. "We set sail at dawn." Gibbs told her. "Leave yer mark." He handed her a quill and slid a peice of parchment across the table. Jack watched to see what name she'd write.

Samantha paused for a moment as she took the quill in her left hand as to make her writing sloppier and she scribbled the name "Sam Black" down on the paper. She nodded once to Gibb's, avoiding all eye contact with Sparrow. After signing "her" name she began to slink back into the corner.

Jack watched curiously, as she wrote a name then began to walk away. It was obvious she was faking a name and signature. Standing up, he followed her with a swagger. He stoped in front of her, cuting her off. "Ya know mate, fer bein' a man ye've gatta bit of a womanlly voice.." He began, waving his hand in the air at nothing in particular. "nd a rather.." He looked at her chest and raised an eyebrow. "Swollen chest." He said with a gold toothed grin. "So tell me somethin' luv, what might yer real name be 'nd what is it ya want on me Pearl?" He asked.

Samantha's eyes widened; she had thought her plan had work, and now she had quite a problem on her hands... She knew she had better think fast. "I..." She looked down, closing her eyes as many different ideas ran through her head. "My reasons for wanting to join your ship are exactly that, my reasons." She sighed, perhaps hostility had not been a good idea. "I can work, I can cook... I'll work for my time aboard your ship." She raised her eyes to meet his. She knew it would not be this easy, but one had to hope. She also had hoped he would leave the name business alone, or atleast forget.

Jack thought for a moment, tapping his finger on his chin. He didn't like the idea of having a woman on bored, but they were in dier need of a crew, and he figured he could use her for her personal plessures as well. "Well luv, I'll be needin' ta know yer real name if yer gunna be on me vessle." He said.

Samantha sighed and gracefully slid the hat from her head, letting her long, silky blonde hair fall down her back. She indescretely eased herself closer to Jack. "My name is what it says on the paper. I'm Sam" She held her hand out to her new Captain. She hoped her charm would buy his trust; afterall, it was her true first name...

Jack watched her hair fall down her back. He had to admit, she was very pretty. Prettier then most of the wenches he knows, anyways. He cautiously slipped his hand into hers. "A'righty then, luv, lets see what ya got. We set sail at dawn, 'nd we wont wait on ya." He said, forcing a smile. He turned to walk away then stoped himself and looked at her again. "Jus' please, don' do 'nethin' stupid." He said.
