Bailey glanced up as well, glad he'd stopped digging around in the drawers to talk to Cleo instead. At least now it just looked like he was there making conversation. "Captain," He nodded.

Jack stopped mid-step when he saw Bailey in his cabin, his brows furrowing. He ignored Cleo for the moment, though he did hear what she had said. Silently he withdrew the map from his jacket pocket and handed it to her without taking his eyes off Bailey. "What are you doin' in here?"

Bailey nodded his head in Cleo's direction, "Jus' passing the time of day with my friend here," He told Jack casually.

I take the map and unscroll it, turning my attention back to the route. I glance up at Bailey and Jack but don't interrupt, nor stand up for Bailey's story, because if I'm to be stuck aboard a ship, it may aswell be an entertaining journey.

"Well I'm not so sorry to inform you but my cabin is not the spot for conversing with your crew mates, savvy?" Jack snapped, eying the man carefully. "I would've thought that one supposedly as experienced as yourself would know better than that."

"Aye," Bailey agreed. "But the lady wanted some reassurance and since you're so busy with that wide-eyed young thing you picked up, I thought I'd save you the trouble,"

"I jest wondered where I'd be stayin' later." I clarify for Jack, looking up to them again, "though, we need to discuss this first." I gesture at the map..

Jack smirked at Bailey's comment as he looked from him to Cleo and back, his eyes serious. "I was merely showing Miss Quinn to her cabin, and if you think that she and I are anything more than acquaintances, Mr. Bailey, than you are sorely mistaken. I strongly advise you to mind your own business, mate." He paused, shifting his weight from one foot to the other. "As for rooming arrangements, Ms. Cleo, you have a cabin reserved at the bow of the ship, next to Quinn's. Bailey, you will sleep with the crew."

Bailey glanced at Cleo with a raised eyebrow, Jack just repeating what he'd told her earlier. Just proved he was Captain material and not Cabin Boy material.

I nod, and then turn to Bailey, "I guess I'll see you sometime later, luv. I'll find you when I've finished some of this.. are you busy or do you want me to show you a bit of expert chart-reading?" I ask Jack.
