Bailey nodded, knowing when he wasn't needed. He pushed himself to his feet and left the cabin, heading on deck to do some work. He didn't need Jack throwing him off at the next port because he didn't pull his weight.

Jack flicked his gaze from Bailey as the man exited the cabin to Cleo. "If you are ready to show me then that's fine. If not, then you can follow your friend and we can discuss it later. I can keep her on a Easterly heading for a bit," he replied, meaning the Pearl, "though I would rather know where I'm going."

I watch Bailey go aswell, before I speak again, "I just thought it would do you well to know what I'm mapping out for you." I shrug, and hold out the map on the desk, "You need to head East for about a day and a half, and then South when you reach this Island." I begin, pointing out what's been vaguely drawn on the older map, on a rather standard one he had laying around.. "There's probably more you need to know, but it depends on how much of a rush you're in to get this all done. You could make the voyage in about three or four months if you keep up this pace, which isn't too bad." I rant this all to him, mostly because it makes me feel better to talk on and on about something I'm safe with.

Jack took a step closer to Cleo, managing to keep a respectful distance while looking over her shoulder as she motioned to the map. He then nodded. "Well, as long as the Navy or anyone else isn't chasing after us, we should be able to keep a normal speed, eh? I'm not in any sort of hurry."

(^^ That was your 100th post ) "Aye. And the next port will be in about a week's time, so I suppose I'll be leavin' then." I turn to him, "D'y think you could owe me a little something for this work, so I can afford a passage back to Tortuga?"

((LOL so it is! Geeze, reached it in like what, 3 days? ;D))
Jack leaned back away from Cleo slightly, eying her curiously. "I suppose I could. It's only fair," he added. "I'm not the one to usually question another's motives - unless they're standing in my personal cabin when they shouldn't be - but wouldn't you rather come with us and see if your map is indeed genuine?"

"I told you, Jack." I smile a little, "I'm not a con-artist. This is my life's work, I know this like the back of my hand."

"Aye. That you did," he replied with a small smile of his own. "All right then - the next port you may leave our presence, and I will pay for your passage back to Tortuga." He held out his hand. "Agreed."

Jack shook his head. "I think that'll be all, Miss Cleo." He paused, glancing towards the door. "Would you like me to show you to your cabin?"
