"Take the girl," One of the bodyguards said to the maid that was taking care of Lucy earlier. She walked across and took Lucy from Mystique, who let out a low growl. "I swear to God, if you hurt her, you'll grow a few new air holes--"
"Hands on your head," The guy shoved the gun in Mystique's face again, now Lucy was being taken back to the guest room.
"Dadddyyyyy! Mr Xavier needs our help nooow!" Lucy sobbed, fighting against the maid, running back through the room and clinging to Logan's leg. At the sudden movement all the guns turned to Lucy.

Logan swiftly lifted Lucy off the floor, holding her against his chest as he turned away from all the guns. If they wanted to shoot her, they'd have to go through him first. He would let Lucy go with them if they wanted to question her. He'd cooperate. He'd play nice. But he wouldn't risk any of these idiots pulling the trigger on his li'll girl. "Aim 'em elsewhere, or she ain't goin' anywhere." He told the guards. While they waited for orders from the main security guy, Logan turned his attention to Lucy, whiping a tear from her cheek with his thumb. "Punkin, this is important.. okay? Try and remember your dream. Do you know where he is?" He asked her.

Lucy looked at her daddy's face. "No." She pouted. "I dreameded of a bomb and Mr. President and Mr. Xavier were gone! I don't know where but they're not on the grounds anymore," She told her daddy, before flinging her arms around his neck and burying her face in his shoulder.

Logan hugged Lucy to him, "Alrigh'. Don't worry, punkin. We'll find 'em." He assured her, so she wouldn't feel bad about not dreaming anything useful. He glanced over his shoulder at the dozen of guns, and narrowed his eyes. "You heard 'r, she doesn't know anythin'." He growled at the security.

The main security guy didn't lower his gun. "Sounds like she knows an awful lot to me. I wonder how that is if you have nothing to do with it." He growled, beginning to think more and more that this was their fault. "Take 'em away one by one," He told the others. Scott was the first to be nudged, gun in his back, towards the President's study.
"This is such bullshit," Mystique grunted. "You're just wasting time. Let us help you instead of making enemies out of us,"

"Let's just cooperate," Hank said, directed at all the X-Men. "I'm sure this misunderstanding will be cleared up if we just cooperate." He looked at their group, one after the other, before he willingly walked along with three security guards.
The main security guy nodded at Lucy next. Logan grunted, but finally put Lucy down on her feet, then crouched by her side. "Just answer their questions, alrigh'? No one's gonna hurt you." He turned his gaze to the security and growled, "If they know what's good for 'em," under his breath.

Lucy gave her daddy a brave nod, and walked along with the security guard. She came back a few minutes later with tears streaming down her cheeks and ran straight into her daddy's arms again. "I did what you said, daddy," She told him quietly.
Mystique was next, the gun shoved in her lower back as she was walked to the study with her hands behind her head.

The security guards who took Mystique away closed the door behind them and gestured for her to take a seat. The didn't lower their guns for a single second. "You can chose to make this easy," One of them told her, "Tell us everything you know. Even if the X-Men are telling the truth, and they don't know where the president is.. I have a feeling you might." The security had been briefed about Mystique's history, her involvement with the Brotherhood of Mutants. If anything, it made her even more suspicious than the rest of them.

Mystique couldn't help but let out a short laugh at that comment. "Alright. You wanna know everything I know? I get invited to a party at the White House with my fiancee. I have a glass of wine, dance a little, then there's an explosion, I got to find my little girl to make sure she's alright. I come back and some goons with guns and a stick up their ass start scaring the shit out of my daughter. Trust me, if I wanted to get rid of the President, you wouldn't realise he was gone until a week later. But I'm done with that. I have a family now. I wouldn't get my kid involved in any of this," She told them, crossing her arms over her chest.

"How did your daughter know the president is no longer on the premises?" The guard asked, obviously intending to compare their stories, and try to catch them on a lie.
