Will paced back and forth nervously, it was late into the night, well past midnight he was sure. He once again glanced down the narrow path leading to this secluded strip of beach, the moon shown brightly above him, it made the water sparkle and the light appear to dance on the waves.
It had only been mere hours since he'd freed Jack and finally told Elizabeth that he loved her. But not everything had gone according to plan, Elizabeth had promised to marry James Norrington and he still wanted her to live up to that promise.
Will sighed, that had caused a lot of problems... she'd agreed to meet him here...
James glanced over at Elizabeth. "You said you would marry me if I went to save Will and I did." he told her with annoyance clear in his voice. "So what's the trouble?" he shook his head. "I'll give you until tomorrow to think this over." he left her alone in her room.

Elizabeth watched at James walk away, she really did like him, but more as a friend than anything else. She had promised to meet Will at the beach, to make her escape easier Elizabeth changed into her thin silk nightgown and slowly walked over to the window. Her father would be in bed by this hour and all the maids would be tidying up the house, not going into Elizabeth's room. Elizabeth stopped, it would be a lot easier to marry James, she would never have to worry about what other people thought about him, everyone liked James, he was brave and strong and trustworthy. But Will was all those things and more! Grabbing the window pain she silently opened the window and slid out.
Elizabeth let out a sigh of relief as she saw Will, making sure no one saw her, she slowly climbed down the side of the house, fortunate enough to have a sturdy treliss. Ducking behind a few barrels and an ox pulled cart Elizabeth ran out onto the beach. " Will!" She shrieked as she hugged his tightly.

"Elizabeth!" Will smiled, wrapping his arms around her slender body. "What gives?" he laughed softly in her ear. "You act like you haven't seen me in years." he kissed her cheek gently. "Remember when we used to come here all the time and be stupid when we were younger?" he asked into her warm hair.
Will pulled away and looked into her eyes, her skin seemed to glow in the faint light. He blushed and coughed suddenly feeling nervous. He took hold of her hand and walked with her on the beach, looking out to the ocean.

" I'm just so glad to see you," Elizabeth whispered back holding his hand, his warm skin felt good against hers. Whenever she was with Will all her troubles seemed to melt away. " That was fun," Looking into Will's chocolate brown eyes Elizabeth suddenly felt guilty, what if she couldn't be with Will? What would she do then? A spark of hope flared in her chest as she turned will to face her. " Will, let's runaway." She said.

"I'm glad to see you too." Will replied, laughing softly. He turned to face her when he heard her little plan. "Run away?!" Will asked unbelievingly. "Well..." Will looked into her soft, innocent brown eyes, seeing the flicker of hope on her beautiful face. Truth was the thought of running off with her, and having his one true love all to himself was tempting the mere idea made his heart pound with excitement.
"Are you sure you want to do that?" he questioned, half hoping she would say yes. He was afraid if they stayed here James would marry her, and he couldn't handle the thought of her marrying anyone besides himself. He would always protect her and he would do whatever it took to provide for her.
"James still wants you to marry him uh?" Will asked softly, fearing the answer.

Elizabeth looked at the ground sadly. " Yes," She looked up at Will pleading with her brown eyes. " I will have to marry him if I stay here," Tucking a strand of hair behind her ear she hugged Will tighter.

Will returned her hug, rubbing her back soothingly. "Shh... it's going to be okay Lizzy." he said softly. He pulled her against him, her head buried in his chest. He wondered what he should do. "I'll always be here for you Elizabeth." Will reassured her, gently kissing her forehead.

Elizabeth kissed Will on the lips softly then pulled away quickly. " I know," She paused. " And I will always be here for you, but if we wish to stay together we have to runaway!"

Will nodded, knowing full well what he was getting himself into. "Okay," he agreed. "But we have to leave tonight." he brushed the back of his hand against her cheek. "Go pack, I'll met you back here in two hours." he hugged her tightly before releasing her. "Be careful love." Will kissed her cheek softly.
