Jack groaned, leaning over; the deck was incredibly slippery. "Take my hand!"

"What the bloody hell!" she screamed, taking his hand, and Joey's after he rushes over. Lola wriggled her legs, caught her feet on the netting and hoisted herself onto the deck.
She took in air through her teeth, turned over, then let out a shocking chain of expletives that left even Joey staring at her with an eye brow raised.
"What in God's fucking name was that?" she asked loudly, though it sounded demure compared to her last rant. She gripped her stomach she sat up on her knees with a cringe.
Joey looked about,"Is everyone alright?" he asked as the rain broke over them. He looked for Jeanette through the sudden, blinding torrent.

Except Jeannette was trying hard to keep the ship from sinking by concentrating ALL of her energy on the quickly-moving whirlpool that seemed to get bigger and bigger around them. Stay small, she thought, but it was too hard.
In the quick of the moment, when Jack and Joey were focused on Lola, Markus escaped off of the ship with Anna, leaving a little note in the brig that simply read, "Thanks for the hospitality. - M"

Lola quickly tore off one of the legs of her pants and tied the fabric around her waist. She stood slowly and saw Jeannette deep in concentration, her features clenched with it. Lola realised this was their last hope, and that it might fail. Lola was no witch, her only claim to knowing anything of this particular paranormal activity was a dreamlike event that occurred when Lola and her crew were captured.
Before their death sentence for the island's gods Lola demanded that she could show her power. After six hours of raving, crying and exasperated arm waving it began to rain, and the islanders took this as her power. Whether it would have rained later that day without Lola's cursing and exhausting demands no one knew, but now she was facing another death as sure as the one she would have met in that island temple and she began to pray, pray to the ocean itself to spare them, to save their ship.
Joey looked Lola over, her eyes were closed and her hair was clumped with the rain that fell on them. He nearly laughed when he realised what she was doing, realising that she was attempting to use some magical force she didn't have to save them. Lola was only called a witch by superstitious male pirates when they saw she was captaining a ship of her own. Yes all of this would have been laughable if he didn't realise what it meant.
They were doomed.

Jeannette resorted to her last option - knowing it wouldn't end too well for the ship. She raised her hands, and a beam of electrifying white light shot up through them. The spirits that she was talking to... those spirits were doing it. The clouds immediately parted, and the whirlpool sucked everything it could in. Everything except their ship.
However, much to Jack's dismay, the ship was being battered to bits by large chunks of the mast that had fallen off earlier and were being sucked into the sea. As Jeannette collapsed, the entire ship began to break into two clean halves. "QUICK," Jack bellowed, "FETCH ANNA, AND GET US A LONGBOAT!" Meanwhile, he intended to secure provisions. He looked at Jeannette, biting his lip. "Oh, fine." He grabbed her and slung her over his shoulder as the rest of the crew tried to find one.
"Captain!" yelled a rather chubby young one. "Captain! There's no longboat!"
"WHAT?" Jack roared. He sashayed to the port rail only to see a tiny boat in the distance. "Oh, cripes." He grimaced, as the deck was starting to split cleanly in half. He sighed. "We're gonna have to..." he looked over. They were incredibly close to an island. "OY! WE'RE GOING DOWN! SEE IF YOU CAN MAKE THAT ISLAND!" He motioned. Many of the crew jumped over; Jack quickly ran back into his beloved cabin, stuffed his pockets with as much gold he could carry, and took some of his special drink (stuffing the bottles into his large bag). Jeannette was stirring. "Here, d'you have a bag?" Jeannette shrugged and passed him her knapsack. "Quick," was the only word that escaped her lips before she coughed violently. Jack, weighed down by the bags, held Jeannette's hands over them. "Make them lighter. Please."
"You'll have to empty them."
"No," said Jack. "No."
Jeannette sighed and squeezed her eyes shut. The bags were light as feathers, and still stuffed to the top with gold and drink.
"Do you think you could swim?" Jeannette nodded. "Good. Aim for THAT island," said Jack, pointing it out as they ran back on deck. Then suddenly the bow half of the ship turned upward and capsized, crushing a good load of crewmembers. "Lord have mercy," he muttered, more to himself than anyone else. "Come on," he said to Lola, grabbing ahold of the railing. "And where's Anna?"

"Markus is gone as well," Lola relayed from a grubby pirate before he jumped overboard, she frowned knowingly.
Joey soon was back on deck, he had gone to look for others and he was carrying an injured young pirate and Lola's bag. "All the cabins I could make it to were empty, except this one." he said gesturing to the unconscious pirate.
Lola took her bag and helped him with the young man, though she squinted and cringed at the pain in her side. She looked down at the wrecked ship, and smirked darkly before returning her gaze to Jack. She watched as Joey jumped into the water, and she helped to lower the injured boy over slowly. It wasn't very difficult as the water level was rising, in fact in the matter of seconds that it had taken for Joey to return and leap over the water was flooding onto the deck.
"I hope you can swim Sparrow," Lola said as she climbed up onto the rail and dove in. The dive propelled her out a bit and she was about 20 yards away from the boat when she finally popped up. She took in a deep breath, trying to ignore the pain in her side and see through the waves. The waves were breaking hard against her blinding her for a bit, but soon she saw not only Joey but the land she had to head towards. She dipped her face back in and began to swim to the land steadily so she wouldn't exhaust herself.

"Me swim? Of course I can swim!" Jack first made sure that Jeannette had dived in (and she swam pretty well), before doing a terrific and outlandish swan dive into the water. He felt free in the ocean, but VERY upset about the death of his first ship. When he got onto the shore he began cursing and swearing, while spluttering out seawater very ungracefully.

Lola found land first and was sitting on a small rock drinking one of the many bottles of rum Joey had salvaged. She hid her smirk watching him walk out of the water cursing like a mad man.
"Care for a drink Jack?" she asked offering a bottle. He needed it, she knew too well how he was feeling right now.
Joey stood on the beach squinting at the distant horizon, looking for the stolen longboat which he assumed held Anna and Markus.
He gave a sigh and looked around, the other pirate underlings were exploring their new home and fishing out what rubbish from the ship had floated nearby. A few were making makeshift shelters and Anamaria had headed a band to look for fresh water. Joey checked on his clothes; his shirt and jacket were hung from a small palm tree's branches drying out and creating some shade for Lola. Lola lounged under them like this was a vacation.
Joey looked to Jeanette who looked exhausted by the use of her power. He walked towards her slowly.

Jack shook his head. "I've got me own." And he pulled out his favorite drink from his now-lightened bag, sat down criss-cross on the sand and began to drink. Anamaria wasn't in too much of a good mood, either, and PMS wasn't helping her. She was busy bitching at a fat, scruffy old crewmember.
Jeannette was trying to stand up, but she couldn't. She kept collapsing.

Lola grinned and took another big swig finishing her bottle. Lola moved closer to the surf and out from the shade Joey and her drying clothes provided. She crawled towards Jack and away from the bulk of the crew. She tugged on her slip to keep proper and settled next to him. "What now?" she asked quietly, not want to spoke the rest of the crew.
Joey saw Jeannette collapse and grabbed her, helping her move out of the surf and into the shade Lola had recently abandoned. He rolled his sack into a pillow and put it under her head. "Do you need anything?" he asked moving a bottle of spring water in her arms reach, and wiping the dried salt off of it.
