A teenage boy stood at the end of the Tortuga docks, staring off at the ocean. He was thin and lanky, with a mop of brown hair on top of his head and the hint of his first ever mustache growth. He wore a thin dirty white shirt, open almost as far as his belly button. His grey trousers were tucked into a pair of Piratey boots.
Jack's hand rested on the hilt of his sword, which sat against his hip. His other hand reached up and ran a hand through his hair. He turned, with a sigh, and headed into the town. No matter how long he stared at the horizon, his ship wasn't going to appear.

Ana was sitting infront of a tavern. She was actually supposed to work, but seeing she strongly disliked the work here on land she became more and more lazy. Noises and an angry voice from inside the bar could be heard, calling her name. At first Ana did not react but when the door was kicked open she got up and turned around to face the bartender. "I'm.. on my way." She mumbled and walked inside, while the bartender hit her warningly (not hard) against the back of her head.

Although Jack was technically a Captain of a ship, or was in his own mind at least, he hadn't been a Captain for long before that was taken away from him, and he still felt out of his depth in the Pirate port of Tortuga. Of course, he still kept an heir of confidence, no matter what was going on in his mind.
He saw all the big Pirate men heading for the tavern, so that's what Jack did as well. He straightened his back, plastered a smirk across his face and strolled over to the bar. Jack sat down on one of the bar stools.
"Get me a drink, luv," Jack said, glancing around at the room around him, forgetting to specify what kind of drink he would like.

Ana pushed some hair out of her face and then did as she was told by this young stranger. Most of the time the people who came into the tavern were regular costumers.. of course were there always new faces, but most of the people dissapeared once in a while for some months but returns again soon after. She put the drink infront of the guy "One shilling." She said, not bothering with the 'please'-

Jack glanced at the girl in slight surprise when she spoke, not really expecting the staff to speak. "Oh ... aye," Jack patted down his trousers, searching for some coins. He frowned and shoved his hand in one of the pockets, pulling it inside out and spotting a hole in the bottom. He poked his finger through it and rolled his eyes.
"Sorry, luv, I'll have to owe you. Don't suppose I could start up a tab?" He looked at her hopefully, not failing to notice that she must've been about his age, and she was pretty.

Ana smirked. "No, I don't suppose I could start a tab." She stated and took away the rum, handing it to some other costumer who was actually paying. She made the coin dissapear in the pocket of her skirt.. In the bar she was forced to wear a skirt, a piece of clothing she normally hated.

Jack opened his mouth to talk but she walked away. He grunted. He hated this place. He hated Pirates too.
He stood up and followed her as she walked down the bar. "Come on, luv, give me a break." He leaned on the bar, leaning closer to Ana. "Can't we work something out?"

Ana frowned as he followed her - he really must be desperate for a drink. "What do you wanna work out? There is nothing to work out if you can't pay." She shrugged and started cleaning some glasses. She hadn't failed to notice that the guy had pretty eyes and was kinda attractive, but she also knew that if she would give him drinks for free she would get into deeo trouble

Jack grunted. It wasn't a case of being desperate for a drink as such, he hadn't developed that addiction just yet, but he was desperate for money. He needed a ship if he was going to go after his ship, and he couldn't get a ship without having some money first.
"Haven't you got any jobs going?" He asked her, begging her silently with his eyes.

If anything, Ana surely hadn't expected that he was looking for a job. "You wanna work for your drink?" She asked, the amusement made her eyes twinkle. While taking a towel she simply walked away from him, leaving him standing there.
However she returned some minutes later with the huge bartender who had earlier told her off for not working. "Him." She nodded at Jack and dissapeared again while the man moved over to Jack.
