Jack shook his head, "I love women, I have nothing against women if they'll willing to put in the effort and pull their weight. As long as they don't expect a free ride, why not? I only said you'd never make it because you were content working in a bar waiting for somebody to offer you Captaincy on a ship."

"I wasnt content working here.." Ana mumbled under her breath and stared at her food. Somehow she had the feeling that Jack had never experienced a woman being on one of the ships he had been on. It had been hard for sure.. the glares.. the touches.. the things they told her. She had kicked them and hit them to make sure they wouldnt touch her.

"Hm.." Ana sounded and looked at her food for a second, not feeling that hungry anymore. She continued eating non the less and eventually turned her attention back to Jack. "So now what.. Im less worthless now in your eyes because I decided to step it up?"

Jack raised an eyebrow, getting the feeling however he answered that question would be wrong in her eyes. If he agreed, she'd be insulted that he thought she was useless in the first place, if he denied it, she'd take it to mean she was still useless to him.
"It shouldn't matter what I think of you," Jack said eventually. "You should do what you want to do no matter what everyone else thinks,"
