Jack headed straight back to the tavern, deciding to end his break early. Since he was in Ana's bad books, it couldn't hurt to get back early and look keen for the bartender, since he was the one that actually paid him.
He got to work serving drinks to the first string of pirates as they came in.

Ana walked in about half an hour later, wet hair framing her face. She had been swiming in the ocean for a bit to cool off. She got to work right away, not bothered by looking at Jack, laughing and joking with costumers while serving them drinks.

Jack raised an eyebrow when he noticed her wet hair. He finished serving a customer and then stepped over to her. "You know, you should wait until you get your 'ship' next time. Stops you getting wet, y'see?"

Ana looked at him, no emotion on her face this time. Everyone always made fun of her dreams.. once she had sworn to herself not to talk to anyone about them anymore and yet she had broken this promise.. once again to see how foolish that had been. She took another bottle of rum and walked away from Jack to serve a man at the other side of the bar.

"What's wrong?" Jack asked, following her. "Did I touch a nerve? You'll have to toughen up if you want to Captain your own ship," He said seriously this time. He'd learnt that the hard way.

Ana turned to him. "You know what?" She asked him. "I would prefer it if you would leave me alone so I could do my job." She smiled now, not meaning the smile though. None ever believed her that she would be able to captain a crew one day and well yeah.. it hurt and it made her frustrated and angry most of all. Faith was not someone people had in her.

Jack held his hands up in defense. "Alright, fine. Just trying to help." He rolled his eyes. "If attitude it anything to do by, you'll be a great Captain," He said, slightly sarcastically, but mostly meaning it. She wasn't the girl he'd expected her to be at first glance. The fact she'd come at him with a knife proved that.

Ana gave him a sarcastic smile. "Thanks." She said and took the money the man handed her, putting it into her pocket. "I think I can do without your help, really.." She mumbled and turned away from him once again. He did for sure not help her at all with his "advice"..

"Alrightly then," Jack rolled his eyes and walked to the other end of the bar, tossing a towel over his shoulder.

Later on that night many men in the tavern were starting to get drunk and by now they had dragged Ana onto one of the tables and made her sing some pirate song while they sang along. Ana's voice was higher and clearer than those of the pirates whose rough voices echoed through the tavern
