Jack looked down at the girl and blinked.. "Innocent..?" He glanced at Barbossa then back at the girl, then back at Barbossa. "Ye've found yerself a li'l pet then?? That bloody ugly monkey wasn't good enough??" He snickered to himself. "Very well then.." He put his pistol away and made his way to the gangplank, unphased. "I'll have my ship back before ya get the chance ta leave this port.. All one needs.. Is a li'l luck.." He smirked and put his hand to his chest where the rabbits foot was hidden.

Jenna looked from Jack to the other man and then back to Jack again. It was hard to know who was or wasn't innocent in this situation. Nonetheless, she felt a pull to the other man and felt it had been right to defend him.
Nonetheless, she didn't like being called a "pet." Chasing after Jack, she called out indignantly, "I'm not a pet. Just because I'm a girl doesn't mean I'm worthless."

Jack stopped and looked at the girl "Course yer not, love.." He glance at Barbossa, "She's a feisty one mate.. Good luck with that.." Before going down the gangplank, Jack placed his hand on the rail, as if to tell the Pearl that he'll be back for it. "Oh and Hector.. I wish you luck findin the fountain.. course I'm sure ye don't have the sort of luck I have.." He mumbled the last bit to himself.

Still feeling a bit put out, Jenna watched as Jack looked longingly at the ship and then started down the gangplank. Jenna looked from the man next to her to Jack. Before were eying each other with distaste.
Not wanting Jack to just disappear at this point, Jenna called out, "Wait a second!" Jack paused and looked at her curiously. Jenna continued on, "What's the fountain? Is iti the thing you're looking for? I could help you look or something perhaps..."

Jack smirked and walked back on the ship. "Why yes, we are all lookin' fer this fountain.. course I think we all know who will get there first.." He flashed them both a gold toothed grin. Jack had stolen the charts from Barbossa just before he left him in Tortuga.

Jenna frowned and thought to herself for a few moments. Why was everyone looking for a fountain? Fountains weren't typically things that you searched for. There had to be something special about this fountain and she was determined to find out what it was.
On a sudden impulse, she said, "I would like to search for the fountain too. My life at home is falling apart and I've always wanted to sail on a ship."

The whole situation was nothing but a joke to Jack. Of course he would never work with this young girl.. And he sure as hell wouldn't work with Barbossa again... However, Barbossa did need him considering the fact that Jack was the one who had the charts.. He suddenly had an odd feeling of daja-vu.. Only last time Jack had the Pearl and Barbossa had the charts. "Well Hector?? What say you??"

Jenna's heart skipped a beat as she glanced from Jack to the other man who Jack kept calling Hector. She was honestly surprised that Jack hadn't immediately turned her down. Most people would not want a small girl under the age of eighteen traveling aboard their ship.
Unable to stand the silence, Jenna gave Hector and Jack her best puppy eyes and begged, "Please? I'll do everything that you tell me to do."

Barbossa looked at the girl and Jack. He didn't like the fact that he called her his "pet". The last thing Barbossa needed at the moment was a young girl dragging him down, especially at a time like this. One thing about her was bothering him. Who was she? Why did she want to come with him so badly?
"I don't want ya ta be in my way", Barbossa said. "Ya may come, but don't be causin' any trouble. Do we have an accord?"

A shy smile formed across Jenna's lips at the captain's words. He was going to let her come! She immediately responded, "Yes, we do. I won't cause any trouble. I promise. I'll do whatever you tell me to do without any questions asked."
Jenna looked between Jack and Barbossa for a moment or two before she asked, "Are we all traveling together then? And if you don't mind, can we set sail sooner than later? I'd rather not sit around and wait for my parents to find me."
