Astoria stared at him blinking for a long moment before bursting out into even more tears.

"What did I say now?" Jack asked. "Why are ya so sad?"
He pulled Astoria close to try and comfort her.
"Whatever I did, I'm sorry, okay? Let's not be mad at ol' Jacky, eh?"

Astoria wrapped her arms around Jack and sobbed into his chest...
*timeskip*
Three months after the merchant ship picked up Astoria and Jack, Astoria stood at the bow of the ship looking at the speck of land in the distance. She heard a looking glass snap shut next to her and she glanced at the captain with a frown. 'No worries lass..' He said with a smile, 'We'll be dockin' at Port James in less then two days.' He smiled at her and went back to the helm.
"That's what I was worried about." She muttered to herself and touched her ever growing belly.

Jack came up deck and saw Astoria. As much as he tried, he just couldn't stop staring at her stomach. It was big and round.
"Ya still eating, love?" he asked. "When ya get yer own ship, be sure ya have a chef working 24/7."

Closing her eyes, Astoria resisted the urge to throw Jack and his stupid comments over board. She opened her eyes back up and gestured for him to come stand with her. "Look.." She pointed at the land ahead of them. "Cap'n says we'll be there in less then three days."

The smile on Jack's face was replaced with a frown. He only had 3 days left to be with Astoria before she would leave him.
"Ya sure ya want ta do this?" he asked. "Do ya really want ta leave? Do ya have 'nything ta remember me by?"

"I think ye already know the answer ta that, love.." Now she had no choice. She couldn't have a baby on a ship. And to his last question she just shook her head. Neither of them had much to give, so she never thought much about that.

Jack looked down for a second and thought. He smiled when he got an idea. He took one of the rings he was wearing and put it on Astoria's finger.
"Something that way ye'll remember I love ya", he said.
