Name: Captain Malcolm "Mal" Reynolds



Captain Malcolm "Mal" Reynolds was born in 2486 on the world of Shadow. He was a Sergeant in the 57th Brigade of Browncoats during the war for Independence. After the Alliance won the war, Mal purchased an old Firefly and named it Serenity. He and his crew haul cargo, not always legal, they pull robberies and other crimes to survive.


Name: Kaylee Frye



Kaylee is an ever-optimistic genius mechanic aboard Serenity. She enjoys strawberries and engines and she's secretly in love with Simon Tam.

Name: Hunter Finley



Hunter has been an Alliance Soldier since the age of twelve, strongly believing in the way of the alliance. Now adult, Hunter is sent undercover to find Simon and River Tam, and crew of the ship named Serenity.

Name: Zoë Washburne


Zoë, a browncoat at heart, is the team's tactical expert and Mal's right-hand in battle. She knows how to seize up a situation and provide her Captain with advice and even if he ignores her words and throws himself into the situation blindly, she will stay true to him and join him at his side. She is not afraid to speak up, to take control of the situation if she sees necessary, or to call Mal out on his behavior, but will always do so with deep respect for her Captain.
Zoë is married to Wash, the ships pilot who she knows is not always happy with her 'role' as 'First Officer' and her relationship/history with Mal, but who she loves wholeheartedly.

Name: Simon Tam



Dr. Simon Tam is the ship's medic. Like Mal, Simon and his younger sister River are fugitives from the Alliance. He didn't become part of the crew voluntarily, but boarded the ship during one of their visits to Persephone in the hope to smuggle his sister away from The Academy and the Alliance's scientists.
Simon is attracted to Kaylee, but his refined upbringing sometimes makes it difficult to to show this affection to her in a way she will understand.

Yay! I'm so excited to see where this is going ! Thank you mr. Whedon, for giving us such a lovely starting point to explore our imagination, and have some 'good old' writing fun .

I don't see Inara listed. But I'd like to play her and River if that's cool. I love the whole firefly series and serenity of course XD

We've actually decided not to include Inara for creative reasons, because she left the ship between Firefly and Serenity, and her shuttle has been 'rerented' out in the rp already so we can't really write her back in. But you're welcome to play River. The rp takes place after "Out of Gas" and we're pretending Serenity doesn't exist (against for creative reasons; because we love Wash too much )

if its not too late, could I have a possible OC as well? someone that maybe stows away on the ship before they take off. They could find her later on. I already came up with a backround.

We've actually already started the rp, the plot is already unravelling so I don't think a stowaway would really work (Mal would just ditch them on the closest planet, i.e. Saffron ) but if you really want an OC you could talk to Lyz and I on msn to try and figure an OC into the plot that's already going on.
