She slipped inside and moved to hush the dogs, trying her best not to peak outside like a child. She sat on the stairs and waited nervously.
Outside, the walking stopped and the person stayed in the shadows, obviously wary of the person onto him.

Tom stopped where he was in the middle of the drive. He smirked a little. "Scared to come out are you?" He called, trying to taunt Mike's more masculine side, he seemed to Tom like a person who would be very proud of their masculinity and wouldn't approve of being called a wimp. "Just going to hide in the bushes all night are you?"

'And what are you doing here? She's not your girl,' Mike's voice came from the shadows. 'She doesn't need your pity or you hanging around her.'

"I don't pity her," Tom said. "Maybe you should ask her who's girl she is, because you can bet your life she won't say you," He called, not actually saying whether they were going out or not.

'I doubt she'd say you,' he spat back. 'That was a fine act at the park. So, why don't you go home now and leave her be.'
There was a slight slur to his words. Mike had been drinking, fairly heavily at that, from the sound of his voice.

"No, I don't think so," Tom said, perfectly calmly. "She's invited me to stay over, so I think I'll take her up on that offer," He walked around to the trunk of the 'Stang and flicked it open, taking out his travel bag and slinging it over his shoulder, acting as if he couldn't care less about Mike in the bushes.

He stood there stupidly, cursing and saw Emma's shadow pass the door as she reached for something in a closet. Mike took a step forward, in the direction of the door, ignoring Hanson for a moment.
'I hope she locks her bedroom door, she doesn't need you snooping around in there,' he said.

Tom tensed a little when he moved closer to the house but stayed where he was for now. "Considering in the bowling alley you said you didn't know her, you've very protective of her - a stranger to you," Tom smirked, getting this guy was going to be pretty easy after all. "There's either something wrong in your head or you're just a very bad liar,"

'I think you just need to mind your own business!' he snapped, growling almost animal-like in Hanson's direction.
Emma was fretting a little in the house, the dogs sitting with her as she sat nervously inside. Apart of her wanted to go out there and just get her evening back. Mike didn't need to ruin it...she told herself he was like a ghost, he couldn't hurt her.

"And I think you need to get the hell off private property," Tom growled back. "You're not wanted here, get the message,"
