Alex smirked a bit and half wondered what made her say it-- but she did. "I'll figure something out. I have your number, after all." With that she gave a half wave and pulled down her shirt a bit, closing her car door and heading back in the studio.

He smirked and looked behind him and then started pulling out of the parking space.
~A month later~
They really had 're-invented' themselves this past month. They had been rehearsing a lot to find out their true and own style, but they realized they were a 'mood-band', meaning they played almost any rock depending on what mood they were in at the moment, but always with their own touch to it. They even thought about changing their band-name, but Passionate Violence stayed. Thomas had spoken up about his own part in the band and now he had become the leadsinger instead of Nick, but no hard feelings. Nick was still in the band playing guitarr and he sang along in the background together with Benji who was still playing the bass. Chad was still behind the drums and Thomas had his electric guitarr, which he sometimes switched to acoustic, depending on the songs they played. Thomas was the one who had found himself most in this band during this month; He was their main songwriter aswell as new leadsinger and he had developed his own style which had been accepted greatly by the rest of the band, and hopefully would the future audience like it aswell. His ability to mix soft, smooth voice together with raspy and 'primal hardrock screaming' in the songs made even the covers they played to sound like their own style. They knew that they have had some people who listened to them since they started out and now they wondered if they would still be liked with their new invented sound/style. They hoped so, but at the same time didn't care as much; They wanted this moment in the auditorium, even if it might just be a one time opportunity, and they would do it their way, then if people hated it afterwards, at least they would have had their time of their lives for that moment on the biggest stage they've ever played at. They were a confident band now and Thomas didn't care much what people thought or would think about them. But of course, having people to back them up was always nice. They decided to mix covers with their own songs when they would perform, but mostly they would play their own material though. Thomas lyrics gave the band a 'deeper' sound, since he wasn't the one to write happy texts, but even if the lyrics might sound depressing the melodies were almost always uptempo rock, which made you headbang along despite the lyrical content. They wanted to mix with happy-go-lucky-rock aswell though, that's why the covers they did were mostly the typical 'don't give a damn-happy-rock', to weight up for their own more deeper content in songs. They didn't want to be defined, a categorized rockband. They wanted to play whatever rock, whatever lyrical content they wanted, wether it was rock-ballads, metal, Rock n Roll, hardrock etc..... Thomas lyrics came out the way he felt like it in that second he wrote them and that's how it stayed even when they performed. The moment, the second. It was always in their own material, yet it seemed timeless. They indeed had something special going on, but right now they never focused too deep into that. They focused on the show they were gonna give tonight at the Auditorium.
Passionate Violence were backstage, fixing their instruments and their manager was with them;
"Give it all tonight, boys! This is...almost a once in a lifetime opportunity for you! Not to say that after this you might not get to continue to play on this big venues, maybe even bigger. But give it all tonight, like it was your only chance!" he grinned "The press is here aswell, critics etc."
"Don't worry so much, Ralf" he grinned at him. "We do it however the fuck we want and it will be great!"
"Confidence is good. Just don't let it go over your head!"
"We'll just have some kickass fun, we're leaving the worrying to you" He smirked. "Yeah yeah...don't go too berserk though, I-- JEEZ!" he flinched and covered his ear when Thomas pulled off a screeching guitarr-chord through the amplifier next to him He grinned broadly at him "Rock on

Alex leaned back against the gate near the front of the audience. It was an absolute madhouse here. Sure, she'd been to concerts before, but tonight, was like nothing she'd ever seen. The audience was livid and screaming so much that she was sure her ears would be ringing for hours afterwards tonight. She was only here because Luke had insisted that she take some pictures of the guys playing-- especially after he'd gotten angry, thinking she had screwed up who the lead singer was. It had taken four, hard, punishing, fucks before she managed to explain they'd switched around their roles. Now, she was standing near the bottom left corner of the stage, her camera at her side. She had on a pair of tight black pants and snug white shirt with a blotch of ink stain on the front-- purposely fashioned that way. Her hair was halfway pulled back from her face, clipped up messily and she had on dark eyeliner. Might as well dress like a rocker if you go to a rock concert.

After some more minutes a man walked up on the stage "Ladies and gentlemen, are you ready to rock?!" He grinned when the audience started cheering
"fucking hell, it must be packed out there!" he said to his bandmembers as they heard the roaring as they were waiting backstage. They weren't big enough to charge much for tickets, almost giving them out for free this time, so it was probably why people showed up.
"Awesome! This band..." he looked at some notes he held in his hand. "They've been playing in bars around San Fransisco, maybe some of you have heard them before, but this is the first time that they play on a venue like this! So let's give them a warm welcome! Ladies and Gentlemen; Passionate Violence!"
Thomas, Nick, Benji and Chad entered the stage as the man left. Oh, fuck me! Thomas eyes went wide as he saw the huge crowd of people. Nick and the others got nervous aswell, but calmly picked up their instruments. Thomas kept staring out over the crowd, but then smirked Alright, let's roll! This band had truly changed him. When you saw him walking up and grabbing the mic after he put on his guitarr, you wouldn't believe that he used to hate being in spotlights and used to be really shy. It was all still in him though, but the amazing thing with this band was that it made him forget all of those things about himself when they were performing. He really was confident with Passionate Violence.
"Hey!" he called in the microphone. "Thanks all! We're Passionate Violence and we thought we should kick some ass tonight! I hope you're up for it!" The crowd roared and applaused and a big smile spread on Thomas face. Hardly anything made him smile...but this did. "Alright, I don't know how much you wanna know about us, but if there's any of you out there that has been on earlier shows with us, I should inform you about some changes, yeah you might notice I'm up front here, might aswell spill it; I'm Thomas I take care of most of the vocals and guitarr this time around now--" He got interupted by Nick who said in his mic; "Black Rose"
"What?" he looked at him
"We like to call him Black Rose better than Thomas, cause somedays ago he died his hair red..so it was like..red and black and I don't know, but Black Rose just came to our minds when we saw him" he smirked. "But he quickly changed the red to black again, so that's not fun anymore, but Black Rose still sounds better than Thomas so..."
He smirked. "Alright...Black Rose..." he turned to the crowd again; "you can call me whatever you want, this is Nick by the way on guitarr aswell, Benji on the bass and Chad back there handling the drumming. Alright, we're gonna start with..our first song we ever made as a band...we've been playing this one so many times..at the bars we performed in that umm...it has become kinda boring actually" he smirks. "But hey, it's all for you, I hope you'll enjoy it...it's called 'Arms Out' He looked at Nick and the others and they started playing a kinda long instrumental intro before Thomas got up closer to the mic and started singing an up-beat rock song;
Take it all out on me standing arms out your heel on my knees feels good
(instrumental)
Take it all out on me yell at my face blind me so I cant see I feel like I should
one more act of love one more act of love one more act of love
(guitarr solo)
one more act of love one more act of love one more act of love
Take it all out on me standing arms out your heel on my knees feels good

Alex had started to take pictures as soon as they'd come on the stage, but as Thomas sang, she slowly lowered her camera to her side. He's good... fuck... what are those lyrics? She'd never heard anybody sing like that before. It was different somehow, like he was standing right beside her, singing to her, not to an audience filled with people.

When the song finished they got the crowd to applause, but Thomas felt the need to speed it up a little now. 'Arms Out' was truly not their best song, but it worked for people to recognize them if they indeed had heard them before. "Thanks all! Alright, we're on a roll now, so let's just continue! We're gonna play some new songs now. I've been trying to use my brain coming up with some lyrics and the boys has worked magic on their instruments so we hope that you'll like it, even if it's a slightly different style from what we used to play...but here we go, this one is called 'Like I Do' and I wanna see you all move!" He urged the crowd to jump up and down as they started with the instrumental intro, almost amazed he got so many of the crowd to jump and it fuelled his energy and he had a hard time just standing still by the microphone and play as he sang;
Hey Fighter, How does it feel? not to ever properly heal Survivor, What do you say? Take out your knife and we'll play
Cut me in pieces with your tounge No steps backwards cause you want more Hide your scars Hide what you are But no one accepts you 'cept for me No one knows you more than me, yeah!
(guitarr solo)
Hey Fighter, What's new? someone fell on knees for you Hey Bitch, how's things? still bubbling underneath
Slash open wounds and stitch them again Don't kill me Im your only friend Hide your scars Hide what you are But no one sees you as I do No one knows you like I do
Yeah!
(guitarr solo)
Cut me and hurt me over again that's what you want; Giving pain But when you relax, only I will be here When you calm down, only I won't be scared
(instrumental) (tempo slows down)
Hey Fighter, How does it feel? not to ever properly heal Survivor, What do you say? Take out your knife and we'll play, yeah come on!
Slash open wounds and stitch them again Don't kill me Im your only friend Hide your scars Hide what you are But no one sees you as I do No one knows you like I do No one sees you as I do No one hurts you like I do...
He was already sweating as he had been moving around a lot on the stage during the solos in this song, but when this song ended, he knew it had been worth it, since the crowds roar was louder now. He smiled broadly and looked at Nick, Benji and Chad and gave a thumb up. He fetched a bottle of water, cause on the next song he wasn't gonna hold in anything of his voice-capacity..

"Fucking hell..." Alex muttered under her breath, not that anyone could hear her over the loud roars of the crowd, but she nearly felt sick to her stomach by those lyrics. Like he knows me... fucking hell, like he knows me... She feared that the most out of anything on the planet-- that someone might think they understand her. Might think they can help her. Not a soul that knows me... She looked up at Thomas. But how can his lyrics be so close? How can he possibly know anything about pain?

He got up to the mic again: "Ready for some grunge? When I first heard this song...it was like a log hit me, you know like...you hear someone else sing your own thoughts about your own life. So I felt the need to make a cover of this one, to...perform it with my band here... I hope you'll like it, otherwise you can fuck off, cause we like it." he smirked slightly and then introduced the song; "This is 'Stain'"
(instrumental intro)
Well he never bleeds and he never fucks And he never leaves 'cause he's got bad luck. Well he never reads and he never draws And he never sleeps 'cause he's got bad blood, yeah
I'm a stain I'm a stain I'm a stain I'm a stain
(instrumental)
Well he never bleeds and he never fucks And he never leaves 'cause he's got bad luck. Well he never reads and he never draws And he never sleeps 'cause he's got bad blood, yeah
I'm a stain I'm a stain I'm a stain I'm a stain, UH!
(Guitarr solo)
I'm a stain I'm a stain I'm a stain I'm a stain, UH!
(instrumental)
Thomas licked his lips and prepared himself for his scream-singing for the last verse. He had never sung like that infront of an audience (other than the rest of the band), so he did feel a little nervous. But as the ending of Nicks solo got close, he got more and more confident and he stopped jumping and instead got up infront of the microphone again;
WELL HE NEVER BLEEDS AND HE NEVER FUCKS AND HE NEVER LEAVES 'CAUSE HE'S GOT BAD LUCK WELL HE NEVER READS AND HE NEVER DRAWS AND HE NEVER SLEEPS 'CAUSE HE'S GOT BAD BLOOD, YEAAAAAH!
I'm a stain I'm a stain I'm a stain I'm a stain I'm a stain I'm a stain I'm a stain I'm a stain
When they ended the song he was satisfied, his voice hadn't let him down and it seemed like the crowd really liked their version of this song since the cheering was deafening.
He took a moment to catch his breath, then said to the cheering audience "And now something completely of our own fucked up heads again...This song is called 'Let Me'" He walked up to Nick and together they started the intro, then he ran back to the microphone and started singing, his voice getting better and better by every song, he felt like;
Let me taste your tears stain me stain my soul I know it's for mine you silently cry
Let me smear your blood feel me feel my soul I know it's for me you painfully bleed
(guitarr solo)
Don't hide Don't cave in See me See me as only you can
LET ME!
(longer instrumental outro)
He got himself some more water out of the waterbottle when the song finished and then walked up to the mic again, took a moment to listen and watch the cheering audience, then said; "It's fucking hot up here, thanks for being a kickass audience, we appreciate it!" He strum his fingers on his guitarr and looks down at it, speaking in the mic as he does so: "This song's... about my fucked up life.." he smirk and looks up over the crowd "almost..it's about...the lack of love...but then finding it...in bad shit...anyways, it's called...'Misery's Company' and we've actually never played this one much at all...so I hope it'll work out now anyway" he smirked slightly and then started the song.
(Guitarr solo intro)
Somebody save me from creative suicide don't try to sell me on the safer things in life
Feel me hold me hate me scold me Never change your mind Hurt me know me kiss me stone me open up my eyes cause I'm dying!
I'll never leave you underneath always need misery's company I need your love
I am defective I'm a diehard and a fiend not off the bullshit train the truth is what I need
Feel me hold me hate me scold me Never change your mind Hurt me know me kiss me stone me open up my eyes cause I'm dying!
I'll never leave you underneath always need misery's company I need your love I'll never leave you underneath always need misery's company I need your love
YEAH!
(Guitarr solo)
Do you ever remember when we stayed up through the night I will always remember how you made me feel I'll never leave you
I'll never leave you underneath always need misery's company I need your love Cause I'm dying! I'll never leave you underneath always need misery's company I need your love
CAUSE I'M DYING!
The band was truly having their time of their lives now as they really had the audiences support. Thomas disappeared from the stage for a little while but then came back up with an acoustic guitarr and a barstool, placed it close to the edge of the stage and climbed up on it and adjusted the microphone infront of him. "We're gonna slow it down a little now..with a song called 'Close'. Anybody had a real bad nightmare and in the morning you wonder what kinda fucked up shit your brain creates while you're unconsciouss? Yeah...well this song is kinda like that...only then when you wake up, you realize the nightmare...was real.." He started a little slower guitarr intro, this song didn't have much noisy instruments at all, focusing more on the actual melody and singing, showing off that they indeed played all kinds of different rock-styles. This was more of a ballad and his raspy yet smooth whispery voice sang;
where are you hiding inside my deep mind where are you nestling I feel you somewhere deep inside... entangled in my veins
what are you mumbling deep behind my eyes what are you saying I hear you somewhere deep inside... whispering under my skin
So close you're so close and I tremble
(guitarr solo)
when will you explode deep in my blood when will you awake I sense you somewhere deep inside... pulsating through me
So close you're so close and I tremble So close you're too close I'm breaking
(Guitarr solo)
He gained more power in his voice now as he sang the ending;
How did you come in How did you awake How did you stay when did I begin when did I fake when did I obey
So close pulsating in my veins so close caressing my skin too close when will you explode so close I should let go
So close you're so close and I tremble So close you're too close I'm breaking I'm breaking...
He had had his eyes closed during the last verse, but when he heard the crowd going wild again (it had been almost dead silence throughout this song), he slowly opened his eyes and smiled. "Thanks, guys"
~Later~
He was back with his electric guitarr, standing with the rest of the band now "Alright, I'm sorry to say this, but we're nearing the end of this...this amazing, crazy show!" The crowd made more sound. "But we've got one more song! It's called "A Son" and I got the inspiration...for this one when..umm... I was watching tv and the news came on..and it was about a little girl.." he started strumming his fingers on the strings "about a little girl...a kid... and she had got abused by her father. Yeah..fucked up shit like that..and yeah, my brain works like...I get inspiration by fucked up shit, bad shit...and the next day I had this song. "A Son"....yeah...maybe this can go out to all the women in the audience" he grinned as women started screaming. Jeez...
Guitarr intro
She should have stayed away from friends She should have had more time to spend She should have died when she was born She should have worn the crown of thorns She should have been a son She should have been a son She should have been a son She should have been a son
She should have stood out in the crowd She should have made her daddy proud She should have fallen on her stance She should have had another chance She should have been a son She should have been a son She should have been a son She should have been a son
(instrumental)
Thomas walked much closer to the edge of the stage now, looking down on the bunch of women and girls that were closest to the stage on that side as he continued the song;
She should have been a son She should have been a son She should have been a son She should have been a son
She should have obeyed his every word She should have known not to get hurt She should have died when he got rough But his own words just stung too much;
'You should have been a son You should have been a son You should have been a son You should have been a son'
As they finished off this last song for this show, they were all exhausted, but excited and happy aswell. It had gone much better than any of them had hoped for and they were more than satisfied by their performance. Altogether they had played 11 songs but yet Thomas felt like he could keep singing for much longer now, but their time was up. "Thank you so fucking much!! See ya next time!" he called in the microphone before they started unplugging their instruments and get ready to leave the stage. The crowd was crazy now. It was the first time Thomas had been a leadsinger and, my god, he had talked more this evening than he normally did on a week! And yet it felt strangely good... but as soon as he was off the stage, it was like he became his old self again; avoiding to talk to people, serious expression on his face, quiet, shy... it was a strange transformation to see, but it was him.

Alex had tucked her camera under her arm and had to leave as he sang the last song. She stumbled out into the hallway and towards the bathroom-- still able to hear Thomas singing loud and clear through the walls and the screaming audience to go along. She leaned over the sink and threw up several times, before lifting her face and looking into the mirror, gripping the edges of the mirror. She felt like he'd been up there, telling all his secrets-- and it was both disturbing and... what was the word? Comforting. She turned a bit as she heard the audience starting to move around since the show was over, "Fuck..." She pushed back some of her hair and wet her mouth and face with sink water, knowing she had to go take some pictures backstage of them now.

Thomas and the guys hurried backstage and they recieved pats on their shoulders by the people who were backstage. Thomas really didn't feel like talking, but as he saw the over-excited manager, he felt he needed to so he walked up to him; "Ralf.."
"HEY!" he gave Thomas a tight hug and then patted him roughly on his shoulder and then looked at him. "Wow, guys! You owned the whole place! You made it! I knew you would! Oh man, do you know how many requests you'll get now? Record-deals and--"
"Alright, slow down, can we talk about this later, I gotta.."
"Sure, sure, you fix yourself up for the photographers, you're sweaty as hell!" he wiped his hand on Thomas arm and chuckled and then turned to the rest of the bandmembers
"photographers?" he mumbled to himself but hurried into their 'dressing room' where he put his guitarr away and locked himself up in the bathroom. He looked at himself in the mirror and smirked "Shit.." he got undressed and stepped into the shower and soon he heard the commotion as the rest of the band came into the dressing room
He drummed his palms on the bathroom door excitedly. "Thomas! We fucking made it! WOHOO!"
"You fucking kicked ass with the songs, man!"
"ROCK ON!"
He looked towards the door and smirked and called; "You sound like you're gonna have an orgasm or something! Keep away from my guitarr!" he joked
"Hey, hurry up with the showering, there's photographers lined up fucking waiting for us!"
He sighed and after awhile grabbed a towel, put it around his waist and got out of the bathroom and Nick quickly walked into the shower.
"There will probably be interviews and shit aswell"
"Interviews?"
"Yeah I mean, reporters just trying to make you talk to them, there's apparently kinda many magazines out there"
"Well I'm not giving a fucking interview now, they get their photos and then I'm gone" He got dressed and then combed his hair
"Fuck, are you even excited at all about this, Thom?"
"Of course I am, but I'm off the stage now. I've done my thing!"
He smirked. "You really can't handle celebrity and being famous"
He paused with applying the black eyeliner and looked at Chad in the mirror. "Who said I wanna be famous?"
