"Right, well you're going to have to talk to me," I said. "I'm Storm." I stuck out my hand and shook his. Jack may have a bit of over-protectiveness for this place but I run it now, so I might as well take charge before she screws things up.
I freeze the place. Everyone is stock still. No one's moving. I unfreeze Storm with my right hand.
"Whoa," I say. This Remy guy is frozen, mid-wink, and Logan's frozen in a half-growl, Mystique's frozen with her eyes rolling, and so on and so forth. "I forgot how much you've got this over and about."
"Yeah, yeah," I say. "Just tell me where my room is."
"Upstairs, fourth door to your left. Aren' t you going to...?" I point at everyone.
I shrug as I walk up the stairs. All the way up and I unfreeze. Everyone looks around, like "where's she gone?" but I'm exactly that: gone.

Mystique watched the goings on in silence, her brain taking in every detail, every word that was said.
Alfie fidgeted nervously on his feet, twisting his fingers together and untwisting them again. He was out of his depth, this had been a mistake, he was sure of that now. He should go back to school and try to pretend that he'd not a freak. "I think..." He mumbled, doubting whether anyone would hear him over their own conversation anyway. "Maybe I should go ..."
He shoved his hands in his pockets, inspecting his shoes as he wove his way past Logan and the woman with white hair towards the door.

For a while, Logan had silently observed what was going on... Growing more and more wary of this situation in the meanwhile. Firstly, there was Mystique. Then that unfamiliar brunette who disappeared (he wouldn't question that though, since Storm seemed unconcerned). But what fixed his mind most was that Gambit. The guy looked vaguely familiar.
When his memory had been taken from him, it wasn't top notch the second he had recovered. So his first memories were vague. He knew something about as destructed nuclear reactor, debris, and somehow, Gambit's face fitted into the picture. Logan frowned, annoyed and agitated by the fact that he couldn't pinpoint what this all meant. Any attempts to glue the vague shreds of memory together were useless. And it frustrated him.
Alfie interupted his thoughts though, when he nervously mumbled his words and started to leave. Determining how to deal with the situation, Logan spoke up. "Storm, go talk to the boy." He said, shortly. Storm was the person in charge, but both Gambit and Mystique had wandered in here looking for him, so as far as he was concerned he'd deal with them.
"You two," He pointed at Mystique and Gambit, "Don't move an inch. Do I know you?" He frowned, the last question directed at Gambit.

Gambit nodded, he'd forgotten about Logan loosing hims memories, he'd demanded that Remy tell him what had happened after he'd regenerated his mind, he just had told him what he knew, his name, and that he was his friend, "Yes, you do, but I don' tink you remember de whole picture mon ami" he said, he had been there, to help Logan with everything when he was younger and still had his plane, he'd since given it to a friend. Flying him to the nuclear plant, mocking him because he was afraid of flying. He hoped maybe he could help a little, but first he needed Logan's help...

"No kidding." Logan grumbled. That whole picture was exactly what had been lacking in his memory for years, up to a point where he wondered whether he'd ever gather enough information to put the pieces of the puzzle together. Maybe Gambit knew something though.. whoever the hell he was. And Logan was going to make sure he'd find out. But firstly, there was the question whether he was a friend or foe. "Why are you here?" He asked shortly, and to the point.

Mystique watched on with little interest. She didn't care about Wolverine's personal problems. She slowly, and silently started backing away, planning to go exploring the mansion, and see what she could find that may be of use to her.

"Hey you, wait!" I got the boy. "Hey, you can stay here. It's fine," I say with a smile. "Come here. You're new here, aren't you? Let's get you a room." He looked really nervous. "I'm Storm," I say. "I can create and manipulate storms."
At this point I was accustomed to my room. Rogue wasn't here, though. It was a little strange being alone. I decided to go back downstairs. I saw them arguing. I decided to stand where I was, unnoticed, at the top of the stairs, and listen as this Gambit guy explained himself to Logan. There was no one else there, everyone else had... gone. I looked at Logan's face. It was beautiful.

Alfie shifted nervously and glanced up at Storm. "Alfie," He said quietly. "Alfie Beau ... my friends would call me Liche if I had any," He adjusted the straps of his backpack on his shoulders. "So you're all ... erm ... different ... here as well?" He laughed a little. "I thought I was the only one,"

Logan noticed that Mystique was backing away, before she could get very far. His gaze darted to her, and he let out a low growl. "I said, don't move." He warned her. He wouldn't let any ex-associate of the Brotherhood wander around the mansion - not until he could be asolutely sure that she was harmless.

Mystique rolled her eyes. "Don't be so uptight, Wolvie, what harm can I do?" She held up her hand, in a mark of surrender. "I'm human - or as good as,"
