"Well, ya see I'm part of a guild, de Thieves Guild, well dere's dis other guild de Assassins Guild, we always been de bit of rivals, and dere is mutants riddled within both of them, well, dese mutants started disappearin', an' so naturally we started pointin' fingers at each other, ain't dat what rivals always do? Well, den, one mutant disappeared, dat was good with both of us, an' dat's when I was sent here, I told dem I knew someone who might help us, Logan, cause I knew he 'as in wit Xavier, an' you'd be able to help" he finished off, looking them over, he'd only left out the part of being banished from New Orleans, using the whole being sent here thing as cover up.

"Jack, what about you, what do you know?"
"All I know is there's some nut named Stryker, and some psycho-mutant-freak named Victor."
"Stryker's dead," I say.
"Yeah, well Victor ain't."
I think about our situation. We'd have to go there to investigate it, and deal with it. "Didn't you say something about factions, Jack?"
"Yeah. Factions, guilds, things like what Remy here was talking about."
"I bet you're itching for something to do."
"No, not really."
I smirk. "Logan, could you please escort Jack and Mr. LeBeau here down to New Orleans? I'm coming with. We're gonna need all the help we can get." And Rogue and Bobby and Kitty proved themselves. I think they ought to come too.
I shake my head. "Okay. I'm only doing this after I get sleep." Which means tomorrow, after a night out at a bar or something to that effect. Somewhere I can find a beer.

Alfie mumbled something to himself and moved tables to sit Bobby. He prefered being alone anyway but he supposed he should make the effort. "So, erm, what can you all do?" He asked trying to make conversation.

Logan had leaned against the wall, listening to the one story after another, as everyone shared their problems. It turned out that trouble like this came in waves. For a while, nothing of significant importance had happened, but now? From every dark corner of the earth, trouble started to brew. Logan couldn't help but wonder how it was all related.
After Storm suggested they went down to New Orleans (and the brunette - Jack, as Storm as called her - opted for sleep), Logan finally spoke up.
"Hold on," He told them, "Let's get things straight here. These ex-brotherhood mutants and so called supermutants are working together to kill what? The Xmen? The human race? What's the picture here? And what about those psycho humans, what's their objective? Is any of these groups actually trying to annihilate mutants? Or are we dealing with something different alltogether in New Orleans?"

Mystique came saunting back across the room. A tray balanced on one hand, a chicken leg in the other as she knawed at it like the animal she once was.
"Always have to be the voice of reason, don't you?" She smirked. "We have more important things to deal with. Let the humans fighting things out amoungst themselves, that's all they're good for anyway,"

"Just look at the bigger picture for a second." Logan frowned, "Who knows, Magneto might be allies with one of these groups already, if he found out the cure wears off. I doubt he'll fly solo. It's his style to run around with a number of braindead, obedient minions." His gaze went to Mystique as he said this.

Mystique raised an eyebrow. She was anything but brain dead and he knew that. She was the brains and the brawn. She was the one that got most of the information Magneto needed.
"Eric's not stupid enough to get involved with people who blow their cover so easily. If Eric involved with this he would've kept it a lot quieter and let just ... anybody" She looked the brunette up and down. "Get wind of his plans,"

"So you think he's got nothing to do with the rest of them." Logan said, frowning slightly as he considered that. This was going to be messy. When Magneto returned he would be determined to make the human race pay for what they did to him - not to mention he wanted to kill them anyway before the cure. The supermutants, or whatever they were called, were probably going to go after the X-men. And those human psycho's, he didn't even know what the hell they wanted. Maybe they were behind the mutants disappearing.
Basically, everyone was planning to kill the other. Nothing out of the ordinary. Logan thought to himself.
"Alright, so.. tomorrow," He glanced at Jacklyn briefly, "..we'll go down to New Orleans, find out where the missing mutants are, take down whoever is behind this and with a little luck we'll be back before nightfall so we can pay Magneto a visit." He shrugged. "Sounds like a plan to me."

"Well, good luck with that New Orleans thing ... I'll be here when you get back," Mystique said off hand, inspecting her nails after tossing the chicken leg over her shoulder.

"Lucky us." Logan said sarcastically. Now that he had more or less agreed to Storm's plan to move to New Orleans first, there was not much left to discuss. So, he pushed himself off the wall and glanced briefly at Storm. "I'll see who's up for this." He said, meaning he'd check with some of the kids (Rogue, Kitty, Collosus, and some others) who would come to New Orleans with them. They couldn't be sure what to expect there, after all. A fight didn't seem unlikely.
