Mystique glanced up at him and shook her head dismissively, "Just, ice cream ... brings back memories," She said with a slight shrug, sure he'd get her meaning. Hell, the amount of times they'd brought desert back up to their bedroom and licked ice cream off each other, it was hard not to think about it. She wasn't sure if that was good or bad, the memories were good, but they only made the present seem even worse.

Logan glanced from the tub of icecream back to her. His eyes paused at the height of her breasts, then her neck and then her lips a second longer than they should've. He forced himself to look at her eyes before she'd have a good reason to slap him. "..Alright, that doesn't help." He said honestly, with a slight smirk. It didn't make the situation any easier to reminisce about sucking icecream outta her bellybutton.

Mystique followed his eyes as he inspected her body, obviously thinking the same thing she was. "And we're done with the ice cream," She said with the slightest smirk, reaching across and putting on the nightstand and picking up the beer instead. Her gaze moved back to him. Somehow his company was helping, her mood was lifting.
They were silent for a few moments, that horrible awkward silence instead of the warm, comfortable silence they would sit in before. "Are you still sleeping with her?" She asked casually, no hint of anger in her voice.

Logan raised an eyebrow as he looked back over to Mystique, their eyes meeting again. She seemed serious 'bout her question. He would've thought she could guess the answer. "No." He told her, "Course not."

Mystique nodded, not quite sure what to do with that answer. She guessed she was glad. "I don't think I'm really ready to see you with someone else yet." She groaned at her choice of words, since their whole problem was the fact that she'd seen him with someone else. "I mean, y'know, see you with a serious girlfriend yet ... not that it's any of my business, you're free to do what you like now," She rambled.

When she drifted off into a ramble, Logan interupted her, "I don't want anyone else." He said. Their eyes met again, and silence filled the room like before. But it was the truth. Now more than ever, now that he realized his mistakes, all he wanted was Mystique.

Mystique shifted her body further down the bed, closer to him. She reached a hand out, hesitated, and then lightly touched his sleeve. "Please don't start that again," She said, quietly, meeting his gaze, their faces close enough to each other for the other to touch. "I don't want to hate you,"

Logan kept his eyes on hers. She was so close he could recognize her scent again - her own scent, not the mask of roses she'd covered herself with to fool him. And then, as if that didn't screw with his mind enough, she made it sound like she didn't hate him already. Logan didn't take his eyes off her anymore. "Sorry, Blue." He mumbled, "Just trying to make a habit of not lying to you anymore," He told her, in response to her request not to say that.

Mystique dropped her head, closing her eyes, escaping his gaze though she could still feel his eyes on her, judging her, inspecting her. She was so confused. Her mind in constant conflict. Half of her telling her to drive another pair of scissors into him, the other half telling her to seize him and never let go. She looked up at him again after a moment, their gazes meeting once more. The latter half won. Her hand moved from his arm to the side of his neck and her lips brushed his before she kissed him.

Time seemed to stop the second Mystique's lips brushed against his. In the past few days Logan hadn't thought she'd ever grant him another look. So the second she kissed him, his heart started pounding like crazy. Good job his bones were indestructible, or it would've broken a damn rib at the rate it was beating. Logan's hand reached up and rested on the side of Mystique's face as he kissed her back.
