Mystique's other hand rested on his thigh as her fingers slipped through his hair, pulling him closer as she deepened the kiss. For that moment, her brain switched to autopilot. Kissing him made everything go away. Tasting that familiar taste of his lips, for that second he wasn't the cheating bastard that broke her heart ... he was Wolverine, her Wolverine, the Wolverine that she'd fallen in love with two years ago.

Logan savoured every second of their kiss. It took losing her to make him realize what he'd missed, but he knew it now and he wasn't gonna forget no more. His hand moved from her cheek to the back of her neck as their kiss deepened naturally. He'd missed the taste and the scent of her (even if it was screwed up by roses now), and her closeness made him realize that even more.

And then suddenly, Mystique snapped back to reality. And she remember that life just wasn't that easy. A kiss couldn't fix their problems. Hell, it just made it all the more difficult if anything. She pulled back from him sharply. She pulled her left hand from his hair and gave him a hard slap around the face, and then the same with her right. She pulled her left back into a fist and once again gave him a hard, sharp jab to the nose, making it bleed, all happening in a matter of seconds. She stared at him, wide eyed, panting for breath.
Mystique jumped to her feet, walking across the room and pressing her back to the wall, staring at him like a deer in headlights.

"What the fuck!?" Logan groaned, clutching his nose. The taste of beer and chocolate icecream was still in his mouth, making her sudden change of attitude a mystery. He whiped the blood away, a frown on his face as he stared over at Mystique. "The hell, Blue?"

"You can't just seduce me into forgetting!" Mystique said, a hint of childish panic in her voice. Hell, she'd never been in this kind of situation before, she'd never stuck with a guy long enough, or cared about a guy enough. It scared her that she wasn't in control of her own actions, she didn't know how to react.
She walked across the room, giving Logan a wide berth as she did. She pulled the bedroom door open, "I think you should leave,"

Logan got up from her bed, but the frown stayed on his face. "I didn't seduce you into anything," He told her, "You kissed me.. What the hell, Mystique!" She had to be fucking kidding. He thought she'd stopped hating his guts, and now she turned the tables once again, blaming him for.. whatever it was she was blaming him for. She wasn't just messing with her own thoughts here, she was completely screwing up his.

Mystique couldn't hold his, she looked everywhere but him. "You come in here playing Mr Nice Guy, you make me laugh, you lift my mood ... you make me forget what you did. I can't forget what you did. I kiss you, and you take me back to the place where I loved you, and then ... then I remember where you lips have been and it reminds me that I should hate you," She said to him, honestly, noting that she only said should hate him, she couldn't physically hate him no matter how hard she tried, because she still loved him more than anything else in the world - other than Lucy. "I don't know what I want anymore,"

So she punched him in the face. That sounded like logic. Logan wisely bit back any sarcastic comments though, knowing that he'd hurt her harder than a few slaps around the face ever could. But his thoughts stayed a mess, as much as hers were right now, for different reasons. He wanted her back so badly, and just when she seemed to be in reach she drove a fist down on his nose. It didn't make it any easier.
"Jesus, Mystique.. What do you want me to do here? You kiss me, I didn't make you do anything." He whiped away the thin trail of blood from his nose.

"You did ... with all you kind words and false promises," Mystique said, catching his gaze. Her arms trembled as she fought with the emotions going on inside her. She really needed somebody right now, typically, the one person she would usually turn to was the one that caused it all. But she needed somebody to hold her, and if he was the only one around, so be it. Mystique took a hesitate step forward, her hands clutched his shirt and she buried her face in his shoulder. "I won't punch you, I promise," She mumbled. "... even though you told me I could," She added, reminding him of his offer when he first entered the room.

"Yeah, I just would've loved the heads up." Logan mumbled. He put his arms around her, hesitant at first, but when she buried his face in his shoulder he took a deep breath and embraced her fully. He held her against him protectively, like he'd done a million times, eventhough this was screwing him up. First, she kissed him, then she punched him, then she wanted him to hold 'r.. He didn't know what to make of it. Still, he knew one thing. He wanted to make 'r feel better. He wanted to take back what he did. So if she needed a hug, damn it, he'd give her one, no matter how much it fucked up his mind.
"Mystique," He mumbled into her hair, "I didn't make any false promises. Not anymore."
