He took a step closer to the door as she did, not going out of her way and not putting his gun away.
"So you're just gonna take that shit? Just because he's Luke Harth? You know why he can do all these things he does? Cause no one's got the fucking balls to do anything about it! I've been doing my homework about the biggest gangs around here, I know what they say about Luke. And I know how afraid everyone are... They should be afraid, but to what price, huh?"

Alex grit her teeth as he didn't move and he kept talking about going against Luke.
"You forget I work for him?" She seethed between her teeth, "You fuckin' crazy, running your mouth this way? One word from me to him and you and your gang are dead, all of you. You forget I'm his daughter?"

He looked at her, then stepped aside.
"Go ahead. Leave. I'm gonna let this shit go, forget I saw anything... but you should know that you had your chance to be free and you fucked it up cause you're too fucking afraid. Like everyone else are."
He put his gun on the table, clearly showing her that she was free to walk away and that he wasn't a threat to her now

Alex stiffened slightly, "I'm not afraid of anything." She said in a low tone. He'd said the only thing that could keep her from walking out the door-- and that was claiming she was afraid. She hated the notion of being some kind of coward.

Alex growled, turning toward him, "I fuckin' told you I am not afraid of anything! Anything!" She repeated in a shout this time. "Don't assume what you don't know... you're just a stupid boy, living in some fascinating life... you'll be dead soon. Everyone ends up dead in this lifestyle."

It was true, she was Luke's pet and as much as she tried to be independent or play it that way, she was all his.
