Something about the plan seemed out of place once she started thinking about it. There is no good without bad, so something bad was bound to happen if the chest was found. Val didn't know what would happen, as long as she made the captain happy. It was clear she made him happy earlier. Now if only she could get him totally alone this time, no interruptions. Valeria did her daily duties, waiting until nightfall before knocking on his cabin door.

"Aye?" He opened the door, taking a good guess as to who it was. He smiled slightly when he saw Val and let her in as they followed the ship ahead of them.

"Captain, about what happened earlier, I'm sorry. I just hate when people interrupt me and treat me like I'm a worthless child. Because I try my hardest at everything, so sometimes I get a little annoyed when one doesn't recognize my potential... That woman reeks of trouble with a capital T. At least her plan does. I have a strange notion that you may be in danger because of her."

Barbossa studied her and sat down at the table, thoughtful. "If there be one thing for certain, she will lead us to the chest. I know that." He paused. "Besides...you don't know me well enough."

Sighing, she added, "Even so, you're my captain. I don't want anything to happen to you. I've heard of terrible things happening to those who discover hidden treasures. They're hidden for a reason."

Barbossa raised an eyebrow but remained silent. "You know miss Valeria, I don't mind your company, as a matter of fact, I almost perfer it." He paused again, standing and looking out the window. "But do not...take me for a fool. Don't think I don't know about the treasure and the fact that she wants to lead me on. I didn't become a pirate just for my good looks."
