Barbossa grew quiet for a moment. He looked her up and down, raising an eyebrow. She was certainly a looker. Usually he didn't fancy himself with women but this women stirred him up as he looked at her. "And what be yer purpose here? You certainly don't look to be a pirate."

"I've been yearning to escape out to sea ever since I was a child. I told myself to stop waiting. So here I am." Being face to face with the captain, Valeria was able to get a good look at him. She had never seen a "real" pirate captain before, yet he definitely looked like one from the stories she'd read.

Nodding, Valeria grabbed her bag and headed down below the deck, finding an empty space to set it down. She yawned and got into bed, too tired to change into her night clothes. 'I wonder how my first day on the seas will be...'

Starry climbed aboard her own ship, The Golden Treasure, which she had inherited from her father after he was hung by the Royal Navy.
"Did you get it Cap'n?" Joshua asked after rushing up to her.
She showed him the compass. "Yes. I did."
"Do we have a heading then?"
She clipped the compass back onto her belt. "Set course for Tortuga."

Valeria awoke from a dream where she was a mermaid swimming freely in the ocean. Her tail was the same shade of blue as her eyes. Her dream had ended just as she jumped out of the water. "Woah. Crazy dream. Oh yeah, I'm still on that ship." She headed up onto the deck, wondering what was going to happen on her first day at sea.

Starry was beginning to run low on rum as well as a few other supplies. Plus she had heard about a new fantastic treasure as well...
...She walked onto the shores of Tortuga, feeling quite pleased with herself.
