Soon as the sail snaps loose it drifts away on the wind, disappearing through the rain. But to hell with it, at least we still stand a chance this way. I gritt my teeth when a sudden wave nearly jerks the wheel from my hands. But eventually we gain the upperhand of the situation slowly but steadily. The storm is starting to subside. Gibbs climbs his way up to the helm, pulling himself up to the railing next to the stairs. When he's standing near enough I give him a grin, "Bad luck t' have women aboard, eh?" I comment. "Yer a madman." He grumbles, obviously not in a mood to be grinning at all. Another smash of a wave against the hull rocks the ship violently, and Gibbs loses his balance. As he goes rolling over the deck, I figure he doesn't need a reply to that anymore. So I fix my gaze on the vague outline of the horizon instead. Grinning slightly still.

I jump back to the decks, steadily. Walking over to the helm as the wind gets thinner and the clouds begin to part.

In the corner of my eye I see someone walking up the steps to the helm. I glance over, and notice it to be Cassandra. I divert my eyes right back to the horizon and turn the wheel slightly underneath my hands, which feel funny now that the tension's gone.

"Now, dont go braggin' that yer the best sailor aboard this ship, Jack Sparrow. We all know you'd get nowhere without me." I smirk, letting my wet hair fall partly across my face. Beads of water stay on my features as I study him with one eyebrow raised.

I let one hand rest on the wheel as I turn to face her, and I give her a sarcastic smile. "Captain, for you luv." I tell her. "And I must admit, I was glad to see you climb up there so swiftly." I turn back to the wheel and grin slightly, gold teeth twinkling. "...Though I would've preferred seeing you fall down twice as fast."

"Dont pretend to be smart with yer words Jack.." I grin "Thats always been yer problem.. always stuck in the literal side of things. Never in the physical. And thats what counts, of course. As weve just witnessed. You could of climbed up there. But no.. you just choose the title of captain to escape the dangerous tasks. The manly.. and strong.. tasks." My grin turns into quite a serious expression before I laugh "Youre such a pathetic little boy. And ill keep in mind next time im the only one for the task.. that if youd rather see me dead then theres no point in climbing at all."

I laugh at her words, cos she's really doing a good job at making a fool of herselves. I turn to her, a twinkle of amusement in my eyes as I observe her.
It'd be a lie if I'd say I don't enjoy her b!tchin' and bickering. It's surely entertaining. But I'd rather cut of my left leg than state the truth about that.
"A manly and strong task eh?" I say in reply to her remarks, "Explains why you're so good at it." I eye her body from top to bottom and raise a eyebrow slowly, "If I didn't know much better I'd say you used t' be one."

"so youre attracted to men, then? is that it? Sure does explain all of those past encounters within yer cabin and the brig and the galley and.. that cuboard around the back o' the rum store." I cross my arms "And... it also does make clear why your still with that little 'Rae' girl.. never seen such a confusion of gender in all m' life, Jack."

I give her a teasing grin, "Do I sense a hint of jealousy there, love?" I dare her.
