Rose had no idea what was going on, just that her head ached, her throat was sore and Embry was bleeding all over her.
"Embry... what's happening?"
She mumbled.

Rose had no real recollection of the night, trying to remember what she last remembered.
"James? Wait, you attacked James?"
She stalled at the car, worried.

Rose didn't have it in her to argue right now, too dizzy and sick feeling. She slid into the passenger's seat and cradled her head for a moment. She tried to recall what had happened, but the evening had been a blur... and now she was utterly confused by what her brother was doing at James's place.
"How did you even find this place?"

He put the car in reverse, backed out and then drove away as fast as he could.
"I looked it up" was his only reply as he tried to remember how to get back to the apartment..

Rose had not known what time it was, of course. The last thing she'd known it had been late afternoon and she was drinking wine with James.
"You have to trust me, Embry. I'm plenty old enough to make decisions. You're not my parent, you're a brother."

"We're home soon..He said you were in the studio when I got there but you were half-passed out on the couch!"
