Rose patted the side of the couch again so he would sit back down.
"Come on." She scooted closer to him so she could clean the mess on his face. "Embry, why did you go to spy on James?"

he looked at her
"Aren't you at all worried?"

"No."
Rose shook her head at Embry.
"He's been a complete and utter gentleman to me. He never asks about mom or dad. He never even compares me to dad like everyone does to you. It's nice." She combed back some of her brother's hair gently as she cleaned off his nose of the blood. She was quite close to him, but it didn't really bother her.

"yeah..I guess.." he could understand that, he knew how badly his sister didn't want to be reminded about their parents, and having her own career solely based on her talent and not her family would be the best of course.
"So are you getting serious with your music then?" he looked down when she removed the hair from his face

Rose was hesitant to nod about that, but eventually she did.
"I think so. James suggested changing my name so that at first people don't know it's me... they won't just buy my music because I'm related to the famous Thomas Bradley."
She chewed on her bottom lip, ringing the bloody cloth in her hand.
"You don't think dad would be mad about that, do you?"

"No, I think it might be a good thing for you actually..I mean, I know how bad you don't want to be in their limelight..but I guess I don't have a problem with it..not that I'm doing great in the business yet though"

Rose suggested slowly, not sure he'd be thrilled by the idea. "James knows a lot, Embry... although I don't know how willing he'll be after tonight."

Rose nodded a bit, watching the way that he winced, knowing it was still sore. She leaned up onto her knees, leaning over his face slightly.
"Still hurts?"
She very gently touched his nose to make sure that it was back in place. She breathed down on him with how close she was.

without really thinking about it, he naturally moved his head back from her since she was getting too close.
