"An odd group of pirates. instead of ransacking the ship, the pirates state an ultimatum ... the pirates engage the opposing crew in a game of combat chess. If the pirates win they get the ship and the opposing crew as servants; if the opposing crew wins the pirates leave them alone and let them go free. On the deck, is a painted chess board."
Being pirates, they don't often play by the rules or have time to study the rules of chess. If they feel like it, they would often take it upon themselves to storm the chess board and fight whoever and whomever they want; most of the time before the first move is every played.
Sixteen characters are needed (if there is eight people rping, 2 per person .... 4 rping, 4 per person):
