Eveline Weston was eight when her family was killed by pirates on the Spanish Main. She was taken by the ruffian crew and adopted by their captain, raised as a pirate under their strangely loving care. Soon she forgot the wealthy life she left behind, her parents, and even the companionship of her brother Edward.

Edward Weston was twelve when his family was killed by pirates on the Spanish Main. He clung to wreckage from the burned-out ship and was rescued by the Navy, cared for by the officers and their wives; he worked his way up the ranks through his adolescence. He never forgot the stench of burning wood and sails, the screams of his parents as they were put to the sword, or the supposed drowning of his dear sister Eveline.

A chance skirmish between a pirate ship and a Naval brigantine throws these siblings unexpectedly back into each other's lives, and a second battle begins for Eveline--now Catalina--and her heart. Will she accept again the life of a gentlewoman, or will the whisper of the sea call her back to the realm of the pirate?

Sounds good! I'll take Eveline/Catalina and Richard. That ought to be a good combination for both of us, as there will be plenty of interaction!

Eveline Weston/Catalina



Age: 19
Born Eveline Weston, her passage from England to the Caribbean as an eight-year-old was interrupted by pirate attack. Her parents, wealthy landholders, were killed in the attack, and Eveline believed her brother drowned. Captured, Eveline enchanted the pirate captain and was eventually adopted and raised as his daughter, receiving the name "Catalina". She grew up leaving the world of rigid social rules and order behind her and instead learned to love the life of the pirate. Now a full crew member of her adoptive father's ship, the Floriana, Catalina knows how to trim a sail, repair the deck, load and fire a cannon, shoot a gun, and fight with a sword. She can also take care of herself in a full barroom in Tortuga.
Growing up with the freedom allowed to a pirate, Catalina takes orders only from her superior officers--she essentially does as she wishes within the crew of the ship. Having matured independent and not knowing the rigid social structure of being a young lady, she expects to live the rest of her days as a pirate.



Richard William Lucas



Age: 22
Born in Jamaica as the son of the governor of Whitehouse, Richard has had all the luxuries of growing up in a wealthy family. He was schooled in England--first tutored alongside Edward Weston until the age of 12, when the Westons made their fateful journey to the Caribbean, and then studied as a student of Oxford Academy. Now he has returned to Whitehouse to live as a young gentleman, already appointed by the King of England to take over for his father when the time comes.
Amiable and loyal, he is also used to getting his own way, being the only child of minor nobility. He still keeps a correspondence with Edward Weston across Jamaica stationed in Port Royal. Still unmarried, he hasn't given much thought to finding a wife though he could likely have his pick of any of the gentlewomen, either in the British colonies or England herself. Most of his time is spent in leisure, though he does enjoy reading and studying on his own.

Edward Weston
Age: 23
Looks Like: Shouder lengh brown hair, blue eyes, rather handsom, 5'10"

Edward's parents were killed when their ship was attacked by pirates and he thought his sister to have died as well. After returning home to England he was taken care of by friends of the family and trained in the ways of the nobles. He learned surprising fast, putting his full attention to his training as a way to block out the pain of loosing his family.
Now at the age of 23 he's a Captain of a group of well trained Navy Sailors. He's changed from the carefree boy he was at 12, he now has a certain coldness about him that wsan't there before. He wants revange on the pirates that killed his family and little does he know he world is about to change dramically...

Tallis
Age: 20
Looks Like: 5'9 Wavy black hair just past his shoulders, chocolate eyes, softer features then most pirates.

Tallis was raised by pirates though his parents died when he was only 5 years old. After that a man took him in and when he was 9 he met Eveline the two soon become good friends, forming a close bond as they grew older. He usaully does what's best for himself, but the young woman has a special place in his heart and he has to admit he would go out of his way to help her. Lately he's felt different around her, could they be turing into more then just friends?
