On his way out of the jail, Nikolai was grabbed by pirates and hauled onto the ship as well.

Belle noticed May get closer and closer to the rope. When she had assumed May had gotten a strong enough grip on the rope, she started pulling her captain and the new girl onto the deck.

A loud thud echoed through out the Pearl as Jack and May was brought on the ship. Along with a new man just being brought up on the other side of the ship. Springing to his feet, he picked up his jacket and hat from the barrell where he left it. Putting them on, he turned round to the new girl.
"You - do ye have a name? I missed it at the gallows." He said, offering his hand to help her up.

"May...what a pretty name," Belle complimented, hands on her hips as she walked over to where Jack and May stood. "Where do ye come from? And what did ye do that you were to be hung?" Belle asked, hearing Jack mention the gallows.

Belle looked at May some more, glanced at Jack, then back at May. Belle tapped May on the shoulder, and leaned in closer to her ear before whispering. "You know...May, you're with pirates now...we've all done something to get into trouble. That's what makes us who we are..."
