She took her phone from her ear, hanging up and putting it into her Louis Vuitton purse. “What is it Dad?”

“One, I told you yesterday, no phones. Two, I asked you to get into your costume, three, I asked you to help me stock the shelves, and finally, I told you to watch your language. Because of you, we’ve lost customers, and that means lost money. Davina, please, just for once, do what I ask. Please!”
Will put the last of the stock on the shelves - well all that had been in his hands. He turned to his sixteen year old, crossing his arms as he looked at her. Davina tried not to role her eyes as she looked to him.
“If you must sit there doing absolutely nothing, at least get into you costume.”
He uncrossed his arms and pointed to the outfit on the hanger behind his daughter.

She turned around and looked at the billowing ‘pirate’ shirt, breeches, boots and black leather corset. She snorted.
“Oh my god no. I am not wearing that. Dad, you can look like a dork if you want, but-”

She sighed, “Fine… but I don’t see why I have to wear this stupid thing. Its just a store - I mean you act like you’re really a pirate, and the captain of that stupid ship, the Frying Seagull--”

“Whatever, what I’m trying to say, is that you act like you’re the real deal, and your not. If you were, you’d be like … I dunno like a 1000 years old.”

Will didn’t take to kindly to that phrase.
“ Three hundred and twenty four to be exact.”
