Marie turned sharply to Scarlett, her face ever dark,
"It is not exactly up to me," she whispered over the egotistical banter of the two men with swords, "I did not expect to get this far."
Despite her apparent brave words, Scarlett's words stung. She was right, Cutler did love another, and once again she was being drawn into his web.

"For christ sake children...." Belsamuel called from on top of the crellenations of the roof above. "Can't I leave you without mature supervision for 5 bloody minutes??? No Jack, that's a naughty Jack!"

Despite herself, Marie sniggered at Belsamuel's comment. Could he patronise the arrogant pirate any more?

Meanwhile, Marie and Cutler stood in utter disgust. Marie, who on reflection was somewhat excited by the prospect of Jack and Cutler getting into a duel, felt a stab of disappointment that it did not seem to be happening. Cutler, who was ultimately more controlled than her, took her hand. His arm was still bleeding, but urgency led them forth, away from the pirates - away from danger.

"Please, can we leave this absurd conversation?, it is a wasting time. My soldiers will flood the Pearl to my order that are waiting for her ":: He said calmed, with an ironic tone of voice, even with a tenuous hiss in each of the words that were going out for his threatening mouth, ignoring the invitation to duel of Jack Sparrow, sighing while he was pressing more the sword in his handle:: " My private life is not your matter, pirates". Looked out of the corner of the eye in a few seconds at Marie and he pressed his hand with gentleness, to calm her, to calm her, as him it had always done when both were married..

Scarlett rolled her eyes."Why do you insist on taking her when you love the lady that you were so gently dancing with?"she asked. She crossed her arms, feeling a pang of pride at her handy work on his arm.

Marie raised her eyebrow, taking it upon herself to answer the question for him.
"It's simple repayment, I save him, he saves me...we're square." She tightened her grip on Cutler's hand, "now let's get going. Lady Lilyanne will worry about you."

:: Cutler Beckett tried to smile in a few seconds when heard the pirate, pain, have supporting the pain, a small layer of perspiration was appreciated in his front. Only could say:: " Love?. This word does not exist in my vocabulary. The love means commitment and I flee of the commitment "::Lied. Cutler Beckett, loved once in his life and to nobody more. When it heard Marie's voice, it did not look at her, only he pressed more his hand, feeling as the blood of his arm it was sliding slowly being mixed by Marie's soft skin:: " Not, I go away to go without you, because I do not want to be a widower, Marie "::Answered him with irony, concealing the truth, a truth that she would never know.
