"A widower? Can a man be a widower to his ex-wife?" Neverthless, Marie could no longer be bothered to feel any sort of hatred, bitterness or cynicism toward her ex-husband. Danger was lurking, the pirates; distracted for now, would not be for long. Yanking his injured arm a touch more than was wise, she led him away from the pirates. Her memory, sharp from the days of their marriage, would surely take her to their house - where Lady Lilyanne was waiting, hopefully safe.

:: Cutler Beckett was in silence, it was not known that to say or that to do. To escape?. To fight against the pirates?. He, was avoiding the duels, earlier he preferred speaking, negotiating, but if there was in danger the life of someone who was mattering for him, it was ready to risk his life. But, really Marie was mattering for him even as so that it was next to her in these moments::

Belsamuel, leaping down from his rooftop between the swords of the lord and the pirate, let go of a big dramatic sigh and clutched at his chest, cringing theatrically and adding a bit of playwright to his voice.
"Oh the agony and the torment of the situation. The love of two women and the undecided wavering of a weak and shallow heart. How, the people think, can he have room enough for one in that black husk me calls home to his desires? Will the outcome of a pirate duel decide on the outcome of the duel in his heart? Well, My Lordly Lord of Lords..." Belsamuel grabbed the point of Beckett's sword and placed it to his bare chest. All joking were gone from his voice and replaced wih a hard edge made of steel as he looked unwavering into Marie's eyes. "...pierce my heart if you must and see if there be love there for both your women..."

Marie groaned, falling against Cutler's shoulders. "For the love of all that is holy - can we stop discussing who Cutler loves and escape?"

Lilyanne waited and waited and waited. That was all she could do. She hoped that Cutler was still alive and she was not waiting in vain.
And Groves stood near her, guarding her.

: Cutler was feeling weaker and weaker for the blood loss that he was suffering. It squinted his eyes while it heard the absurd words of besamuel. Really it was tired of so many bullshit. He did not like losing the time, he had never liked speaking with useless sentimental. Breathed with depth when he felt as Marie was falling down on his shoulders and when it heard his words, a few words that he made him smile in a few seconds::
" I believe that the lady is right. Nobody is interested in that woman I can love, since you are wrong. I cannot love anybody. I alone have a wife and it is my Company. To nobody more "
:: And with these sincere words, calmed and cold, with a rapid movement of his left hand in which it was taking his foil, it did a wide arch to escape from the swords of the pirates ending with a rapid thrust that made hurt weakly the chest of Besamuel. He pressed Marie's hand strongly and said to her without her looking at the eyes::
"I belive that is the moment of scape"
:: While they were running for the Pearl, he was sure that Marie could hear his tired and rapid respiration. He was feeling of her the heat of his body behind his. It could not order to his soldiers to attack the Pearl with them even inside the ship.:

'Damn him, damn that man' Lilyanne was thinking. 'He was supposed to be my way to higher circles, but that man made me fall for him' Lilyanne's eyes were filled with anger, love and fear for her loved one, an interesting combo. 'Damn him!' she screamed in her head.
Groves looked at her, his eyes curious. What had caused her to tense in her seat like that. "My lady, are you alright?"
Lilyanne was quite shocked to hear him talk. She hadn't even remembered him being there, guarding her as per Cutler's orders.
"Yes, I am just fine. But I would love a cup of strong tea" she told him and he rang the servants and gave his orders to them.

Belsamuel looked down at his chest......"I don't know which is more of an insult..... that he cut my chest.....or that he tore my favourite shirt?" He held up the scrap of linen torn from Beckett's sword for all around to see. A small trickle of blood ran down his chest from where the blade nicked his skin.
He sighed and looked at Scarlett and Sparrow. "You'd think because she's his ex she'd let me kill the bastard?" With that he vaulted up the wall of the building and flipped onto the roof, running along the tiles in the dirction of the Becketts.
