Cutler Beckett when come with the doctor had told to him that the child had great fever. The doctor asked him to wait out. Without doubting it, before leaving the room, he looked at Lydia and at the baby and went out of the room to go away to his office to rapid step.

The doctor looked at Lydia. "And who is the father?" Lydia looked down. "The father................died in an accident." Lydia said so Beckett could hear. "That's a shame..........." The doctor said grimly. "W-why?" Lydia asked looking at Thomas. "Because, this boy needs his father's blood to live. If he does not get it, he will perish. And, so will you. Luckily, the father is dead, so he won't be affected, but if he was alive......." He shook his head, and down the hallway.

Lord Beckett when it saw the doctor going out of the room, approached him without doubting to ask him on the state of the child.
" Doctor, like this one the child? ". He crossed of arms and looked at it fixedly without showing worry in his face.
" My Lord, the child has a problem in the blood, needs the blood of his father, if he will not die. The lady has informed me that the father of the child died in an accident "
Those moments they were decisive for him, it looked at it when it heard what Lydia had said...
" Not, I am the father of the child. I want that it prepares everything for the intervention, want to donate my blood ".
And with these words it returned to the room to meet Lydia. He know that she would be hysterical.

"Cutler? W-what are you doing here?" She asked crying a bit over Thomas. "D-did I hear right? You said...you will give him your blood..........you even told him you're the father......do understand? You have to give your blood to him, and me, and vise versa!" Lydia didn't look well, she felt really warm. Beckett felt a tad warm himself, and began to sweat too.

" And I will give him my blood, Lydia. Do not worry, your son will recovered so well ". He said to her crossing of arms without looking at her either for she or to the baby and approached the window to see the Endeavour in the port. Only it was possible to hear his deep sigh, a sigh full of worry towards that child.

"O-okay." Lydia said slowly, Beckett could tell she was in a lot of pain. She smiled painfully. She took Beckett's hand. Her hand was clamy. So, so, cold. "I'll protect you once we go after the Pirates. I promise you that as your wife, and as your body guard." Beckett had forgotten they secretly married, so know one knew about it. Thomas opened his eyes weakly looking up at his father.

Lydia, I cannot be your husband, you do not know in that position you put me, do not know that you put in danger my reputation in the company. I married one pirate, cannot, have not to ". He said while he was smiling a little when Thomas was looking at him, there were a few blue, intense eyes, similar to theirs. It took his small hand and caressed her with gentleness until it sat down in the bed in silence, without looking at her for her, without looking at anybody, only it was looking at the gap,

"I don't expect to be your show wife." Lydia said, looking away. Thomas smiled with pleasure at his father, his thin lips curling into a devious grin. His eyes were cold like his father's. Thomas held his father's hand with a firm grip.

" I will save the life of your son, because he is not guilty of anything, it is not guilty of that it has a few parents who will never be able to be together, Lydia ". Declared sat in the bed, without looking at her, wrapping himself up more with his robe.

Lydia looked down at the ground feeling dizzy. "I still love you." She whispered. "I love you, no matter what." Thomas opened his mouth to say something. In a desperate word he managed to yelp. "Fa-ther!" And giggled at Beckett. He tried to copy Becket's flaring of his nostrils, as he'd watched him countless times do it when he was displeased, or very pleased.
