He grabbed her hands and threw her back into the cabin with a manic grin, "Too bright an' curious fer your own good ain't ya Scarlett...an' that's why ye'll not be around to help Jackie boy when me an' the lads put my little plan into action t'night."
"You're...you're planning a mutiny...aren't you?" she spat in a horrified voice.
"Mutiny...such an awful word but, in short...aye. I'd rather ye and my bonny lass were outta the way. I know how devoted ye both are to Jack but yer both good sailors, Scarlett an' I want ye on me side...I don't wanna lose Mina."

"Oh no you don't!" he growled, striking her and dragging her towards a seldom used cupboard. "I'm sorry lassie...really I am. But this is fer Sparra's own good. I mean, I've only known him fer a year or so an' already he's nearly killed me a hundred times o'er. If we're ever gonna get to this Aztec gold alive we need a sober captain. Me, fer example."
"Scarlett?" Mina's voice echoed from above deck, "Scarlett?"
Barbossa slammed the cupborad door, ignoring Scarlett's curses, and locked it, "Ye'll be out in no time...just as soon as Jack's on that island and we're outta sight."
"Barbossa you bas-"
"Hector?"
"Aye, hold yer bloody horses! I'm comin'!" He stmped up stairs, leaving Scarlett in the darkness.

"Shit!"Scarlett screamed.She searchd in her pockets and throught her hair.After about ten minutes she found a knife she'd stashed in her boot.She picked the lock and crept up on the deck out of sight.

Meanwhile...
"Where were you?" Mina's eyes were narrowed in suspicion as Barbossa appeared from below smiling sheepishly.
"Just checking the stock...we're runnin' low on rum again."
"Not surprising...the Cap'n is organizing another party tonight, to celebrate."
"Celebrate what?"
"That we're nearly near Isla de Muerta dopey! I mean, we've been trying to get there for months and soon we'll be rich!" she cried as Barbossa laughed and held her.
"Aye love, so we will." His mind began to race...a party...perfect! He would get Jack to show him the map when he was drunk. Then he'd spike Mina's rum so she'd be out of it until Jack was safely out of the way...he knew she'd never betray Sparrow, no matter how much she loved Barbossa.
"Penny for your thoughts?" Mina's voice roused him from his thoughts.
"Ah...I'm just thinkin' how lucky I am to have a lassie like ye on me arm."
"Flattery'll get ye no where with our Mina, Hector...I know, I tried," Jack slunk from the shadows, glancing around nervously, "Seen Scarlett anywhere?"
"Nope."
"Good...best to leave her 'til she's cooled off." He made his way up to the helm.

Scarlett snuck up as Mina was walking to her room.SHe grabbed her and pulled her into the darkness covering her mouth so she wouldn't scream."There is something up with Barbossa..."she whispered.

"Scarlett! You frightened me half to death!" Mina hissed, her eyes wide and luminous in the darkness.
"Shh! Nevermind that now! We have to get off the ship now...you, me and Jack."
"Why? What's wrong?"
"It's Barbossa, he-"
The door swung open and they jumped as Bootstrap Bill entered smiling, "What're ye two up to?" Scarlett laughed nervously and began to relax...until she saw Barbossa behind him.
"Been lookin' fer ya both...Mina, I need ye below - problem with the barrels."
Mina nodded, "I'll talk to you later Scarlett." She went out, leaving Barbossa, Bill and Scarlett in the darkness.
"Thought ye'd try somethin' like this," Barbossa muttered and Scarlett clutched at Bill.
"Listen to me Bill! That bastard's planned a mutiny against Jack! The crew are all in on it - apart from me, Mina and-" She broke off as she realised something...Bill...Bill was in on it too!

"Course I don't ya silly wench...I thought ye were supposed to be intelligent," Barbossa grinned, "Jackie boy's goin' on a little island holiday, Mina's stayin' here wi' me an' as fer you...well, that's up to fate to decide. Ye could stay and serve wi' me as Cap'n or...ye can go wi' Sparra."

Scarlett frowned she loved Jack but she wasn't stupid enough to think he wouldn't leave her to die and not think twice.Tears slid down her porcelain cheeks."What do you want me to do?"she mumbled.
