The lesson goes slowly. And by the end of it my hand aches from writing down too many notes on the shakespeare play we're studying  .. its breaktime now anyway. We go to sit at our usual place behind the far building, on a bench near the sports track. |

Nothing seems to have changed around here since last year. The popular kids are still sitting together, so are the chessclub nerds and the fantasy people and god knows what other groups. And there's us of course, the we're-not-any-group group, sitting there with cigarettes while the can of Coca Cola that I took from the fridge this morning is passed around between the three of us.
I lay down on the bench with my head on Anouk's lap. "Hi." I tell her before I drag from my cigarette.

I smirk at her and turn my head, watching some kids play some kinda game in the distance. Something else catches my eye though, and I spot Madisol and two of her Barbie-like friends coming our way. "Uh oh, air pollution heading our way." I warn the others with a smirk.
Madisol stops in front of their bench, putting her hands on her hips. "Hi!" She gives them a very fake toothpaste smile. "Are you guys still in the drama club?"
