"Aye, an adventure to remember, that's for sure", - I reply to his smirk with my own. True enough, if we survive to remember this adventure, we will never be able to forget it, because it seems that we've been through more danger during these weeks than during whole months back in the Caribbean. It's like the Earth is spinning faster when we're here, it's like our life is going faster, as well.
"You know what's quite amusing?" - I chuckle softly, realizing one thing as well. - "No one got anything out of this deal: the Navy got no help from you because even when we find their drowned ships, we're just gonna take their treasures. You got no help from them because they turned out to be useless and didn't survive even the first days in this place. The both obvious parts of the deal got nothing out of it", - I pause, my eyes gleaming mischievously. I'm sure he understands what I am going to say.
"I was the only one who got something out of this deal, exactly what I wanted to get out of it. And I wasn't even a part of it", - I smirk. - "How piratical of me, don't you think?" - I laugh.

I contemplate that, realizing that, indeed, I got little out of this deal other than a freshly renewed realization that the Navy really doesn't know what they're doing. The Navy got less from it still, losing two more ships to Hell's Water without ever finding the old ones. They're on a negative count now. Only Scarlett is the one with a positive one indeed. ...Did she just outsmart both parties? "Bloody hell." I don't want to agree to that.

I laugh again: "Look who outsmarted the Navy and the infamous Captain Jack Sparrow? A woman!" - I grin, my words sounding in unison with his thoughts. Fairly enough, having lost nothing, I acquired exactly what I wanted to get. The Navy surely lost their part, sending two more ships to Hell's Water, where they found their peril. Jack got no assistance, but he's far from losing his part - we're closer to finding the treasure and the way out of Hell's Water than anyone has ever been. And I lost nothing, only getting what I wanted. That's amusing, innit?
"I strongly believe I've deserved a kiss for that", - I tease Jack.

"So you think you can challenge me and then ask for a kiss?" I laugh, actually amused by this all. She's been doing pretty good indeed - but not at my cost so I can only respect her for it. "I don't know what kind of realm you live in, where you get rewarded for being such a wench.." I smirk teasingly, my eyes narrowed slightly. "....But I suppose I can join you there." I then finish. I pull her close to me instantly, kissing her lips.

I grin, satisfied, when our lips touch, and it reminds me of the latest kiss we shared - in front of a dozen loaded guns pointing at us. It makes me smirk slightly and shift closer to Jack, deepening the kiss. In fact, it's so good that it's almost unreal, almost like a dream, but when we couldn't wake up, that was exactly what helped us come back to reality. Ironic, innit?
Finally, breaking the kiss, I tell him teasingly: "Tis a good realm I'm livin' it, don't ye agree?" - I let my head rest on Jack's shoulder, finally remembering how tired I am. - "If there were more rest in it, I'd appreciate it even more, though", - I add honestly and stretch, feeling all my muscles ache.

I shrug, "Ye can go t' sleep soon. We'll go with the watch-shifts, make sure nobody gets hurt." I promise her, brushing a kiss on the side of her head.

Suddenly I shudder, as if someone poured a bucket of ice-cold water onto my head. I look at Jack, my eyes betraying how scared I am of the mere idea of going to sleep.
"No", - I say quickly. - "I won't", - I disagree, even though I was the one to offer these shights, I still don't really want to risk.

"You're gonna sleep sooner or later, Scarlett. You said so yerselves, no sleep means certain death." I remind her, not letting her exhaust herself because of the chance that something might happen in her dreams. My money on survival is still on trying to sleep safely instead of not sleeping at all.

"I'll go to sleep only if I am so exhausted that I'll faint", - I say stubbornly. I remember the freezing horror of standing with my neck in the noose. I remember the feeling of being condemned to certain death, there, in the Spanish jail. I remember the despair washing over me when the Black Pearl was sinking under my feet. And I want to experience it no more. I don't know what scenarios Hell's Water might come up with, but I am not willing to check it out, that's what I know for sure.
I glance at Jack. I know what he's thinking now: that I am behaving like a capricious, silly kid right now. But, damn it, I was scared half to death in these nightmares, and I was close to dying, in fact, so I'd better keep to the reality, no matter how hard it is.

"You don't need me to knock you unconcious, do ye?" I frown, "Hell I thought you were one of the intelligent ones out here. If something happens and you're half-exhausted then you'll stand no chance, if you're gonna refuse to sleep you'll only put your life at stake as well as others." I narrow my eyes - half-hoping that'll strike a chord.
