Young Joanna Flames laughed as she played with her sister. She and her family lived in a small, friendly part of Tortuga. Her parents, Christoph and May Flames were kind people. Her little sister, Crystal was her best friend. Joanna loved her life.

Crystal laughed, chasing after her side, having a blast. Joanna was her best friends and had always kept her close to her ever since she could remember. The young girl giggled, going around in circles around her older sister, giving her a grin.

Joanna heard someone leave the house. She turned around and saw Christoph.
"Going to town, Papa?" she asked.
Christoph nodded.
"Can me and Crystal come?"
"Sure", he said.

Joanna was holding Crystal's hand as they and Christoph walked through Tortuga. They were having a good time. Christoph stopped walking which caused the girls to stop too. Joanna looked ahead and saw a man dressed in black. He didn't look like a pirate.
"Joanna", she heard Christoph say. "Take Crystal and go."
Joanna pulled Crystal to a place where they could watch their father.
"Joanna, what's going on?" she heard Crystal say. "I'm scared."
"That's one of the bad men that wants to kill Papa", she told Crystal.
Before Christoph came to Tortuga, he was the East India Trading Company's most wanted pirate.

"Hello Mr. Flames." said the man in black. "I believe we have some business to take care of?" Before he had a chance to answer the man in black threw a punch that landed solidly on his jaw.

ooc: i guess i'll be playing joanna's family since no one else will.
"You can do whatever you want to me", Christoph said as he got up. "Just leave my family out of this!"
He pulled out a knife and started fighting. The man was good. Christoph was a little slow since he's retired. Christoph saw movement in the corner of his eye. Crystal wanted to help him.
"Crystal, go back!" he yelled.
Joanna watched as her father fought.
"Go! Go! Get him, Papa! she cheered quietly.
She suddenly heard a gunshot. She saw Christoph fall to his knees. Before Joanna had a chance to do anything, Crystal went to help their father
