Joanna woke the next morning with a killer headache. She found herself sleeping in a hamock below deck. She felt so sick. She saw Barbossa coming.
"Hector, what happened?" she asked.

Barbossa chuckled to himself abit remembering last night. "Ya drank a bit to much" He told her.

"I did?" Joanna asked. "Rum does this to people? It makes them sick? My head hurts and--"
Joanna stopped as she ran up on the deck and threw up over the railing. She sat down and put a hand over her stomach.
"Oh, please kill me" she said as Barbossa sat next to her. "I've never hurt this much before. I feel so sick."

Barbossa knew she was going to puke, so he ran after her and held her hair. "I must say, for three bottles of rum, ya didn't do to bad." He knew she'd fit in well on this ship.
After some time when Joanna went into the crows nest, he began planing her a surprise birthday party. He told Jack and the rest of the crew about it and they all began setting it up in the crews quarters.

Later that evening, Barbossa brought Joanna out of the crow's nest. He put blindfold on her and started leading her somewhere.
"Hector, what are you doing?" she asked. "Where are we going?"
She felt Barbossa holding her hands and gently pulling her to a part of the ship.
"Hector, please tell me what's going on."
She heard a door open. The blindfold came off. Joanna saw the whole crew standing around a small cake.
"Happy birthday!" they all said.
"Did you all do this for me?" Joanna asked.
She saw a couple of crew members pointing at Barbossa.
"You did all this, Hector? You didn't need to."

Barbossa had a big smile on. "Aye. See, now ye can't say I never did anythin' fer ye." he teased and handed her a bottle of rum. "Go easy on the rum, this time." he wanted her to get used to drinking rum because he knew she'd be around it alot if sge stayed on the Pearl.

Joanna smiled as she took the rum bottle from Barbossa.
"If I start asking for more, knock me out before the rum does", she joked.
Joanna was very happy with the party. Everyone treated her nicely. She went easy on the rum. She had only one bottle and didn't ask for more. The crew gave her some gifts. One gave her a bandana. Another gave her a cutlass. Another gave her another cutlass. She saw Barbossa coming with something behind his back.
"What's that?" Joanna asked. "Is it another gift? You didn't have to get me one."
