I flinch as he touches me, and step back a little, "I have my reasons. Looking for my own oppertunities, y'know.." I tell him, matter-of-factly, and continue to walk along, expecting him to come along too, ".. but mostly I just deal in these." I glance down at my heap of maps and then flash a glance aside to him.

Bailey glanced behind him, at the ship, the Black Pearl. He looked back at the girl, making a split second decision - the ship wasn't going anywhere, the girl was, and a beautiful woman really was irresistible. So he followed. "And how much would one of those cost?" He asked, digging a hand in his pocket, counting the coins.

"Probably more than a deck-hand like you could afford." I tease him, intending to get more information of his position.. and then find out about any treasure he may be hiding. Whenever I meet anyone new in this terrible port, business aside, I can't help but be curious.

Jack took another bite of the bread, giving a frank nod. "Good. You're not my type either, love. Glad we established that."
At the revelation that the woman before him was in fact a captain, he froze momentarily. "Really?" he asked slowly, eying her hand for a long time before offering his own and quickly completing the gesture. "And what great sailing vessel do you call your own, Captain?" he wondered, having never heard of her before.

Bailey couldn't help but laugh at the comment. "Miss, I haven't been a deck hand in a long time," He smirked a little, holding out coins that would be twice what a map would be worth a least. "Would this cover it?"

I stop in my tracks and take a look down at the coins, raising an eyebrow, "Y' didn't even see any yet. Ye might not fancy them." My smirk returns and I just frown at him now, quite wondering whether he realised what he's buying off me. Or whether hes paying for an entirely different service that'll earn him a slap.

"I saw that one you dropped on the floor, miss," Bailey corrected her with a slight smirk. "I fancy that one," He kept his eyes on her, subtly suggesting the map wasn't the only thing he fancied, but he wasn't rude and vulgar like that Sparrow-character. Suggesting such a thing outloud would just scare her away and that was the last thing he wanted. He was rather enjoying this playful banter as it was.

I pick out that one and study it myself, ungracefully putting the rest beneath my arm, "Ah, this one." I smirk even more.. because it's rather more an antique map of the world, with a very.. very.. vague old set of dashes across it. And I never thought of it as very promising. But since he's so willing, "Aye, this one's quite interesting." I lie, easily, though I don't want him to bad mouth me to anyone when he goes on whatever little voyage with this old thing, "But I don't think it's the best if it's great treasure you're after."

"And what treasure do I want?" Bailey asked, curious to know what this woman thought of him, most likely thinking he was another wide eyed pirate passing through, looking for riches and finding none, wild goose chases and romanticism tales. His treasure was a lot more ... accessible.

Astoria took the seat next to Sparrow and waved for the bartender to bring another mug of rum over as she finished the last sip. "Sabre Storm." She shrugged, and took a swig of her new mug of rum. "Stole it from the navy when I was sixteen. . It's not to fast but it's the strongest I've seen. . It's made it through some of the worst storms." There was nothing she loved more then her ship, and she always boasted about it. "'Course I don't hafta ask you 'bout your ship. . . Everyones heard 'bout the Black Pearl."
