Jacks reaction made Astoria smile. She didn't really mean for all of this to happen, but it sure beat the hell out of the boring morning she had planed. Without another word she pulled her sword from her waist and held it out at him, still holding onto her rum with the other hand. There was one thing she loved almost as much as being at sea-- A good fight. "Try me."

Jack glanced down at the sword point aimed at his chest, his brows furrowing. The fact that she was smiling was a bit unsettling. "I think you've been in the sun too long, missy, if you think you can beat me," he told her truthfully. Regardless, with one fluid movement he then drew his own weapon, bringing it to hover next to Astoria's as he met her gaze. "I implore you to try your best however, Captain."

"A drink and some friendly conversation," Bailey added with that cheeky smirk again. "You have my word, miss," With the map under his arm, he put his other hand on the small of her back as he gently led her towards the tavern. "The people in this town are so awfully stereotypical, always fighting, drinking, doing unthinkable things with unthinkable women ... I get so desperate for decent conversation. What's your name, by the way, I feel rude keep calling you 'miss'," He pushed the door open the tavern, raising an eyebrow at the sight by the bar. Sparrow fighting the women. His eyes narrowed and darkened for a moment. Sparrow. Fighting a woman. Just the sight of him made his blood boil. Who did he think he was, holding a woman to sword-point?
Bailey glanced back at the girl at his arm, leading her across the room, moving protectively closer to her as they gave Sparrow a wide berth. At least from here he got the best of both options, the beautiful girl and he'd know when he had to leave by the state of Sparrow.

"Cleo." I tell him, shrugging, "But I don't mind you callin' me miss. Better than most names a woman gets called around here." I note.. I glance aside as I notice Jack there. I know him, of course, everyone who's local to Tortuga has had at least some experience with him, and most of the time he happens to be one of my best customers. I smirk over to his strange situation and continue to walk with my new colleague, as it doesn't seem like the right time to barter with Captain Sparrow. As we walk past I notice him frowning over to Jack and the woman, but don't say a word. Men usually are either on good terms with him, or quite the opposite, and by his reaction I'd suppose that he's not a fan. .. "What about you? You've got a name, I presume? Or are you one of those illusive pirates that goes by the nickname of some unsightly thing." I ask him, in some humour, drawing away from the situation with Jack.

"I'm afraid you'll have to work that one out for yourself," Bailey teased, good naturedly. "Bailey," He stuck his hand out to her and shook hers. "Pleasure to meet you, Miss Cleo," He smiled, letting go of her hand to pull a chair out beside a table across the far corner of the tavern, away from Sparrow and his ... friend. "What's your poison?" Bailey asked her, hovering by her chair, ready to go fetch them a drink each.

"Hm, it'll be rum for me, I'm afraid. I'm not very creative." I tell him, smiling, but not quite able to take my eyes off of the other events for too long. I glance between him and Jack slowly, and hopefully subtley as we converse and a barmaid comes over.

Bailey smiled in return, "Two bottles of your finest rum," He told the barmaid, passing a couple of shillings across to her. He walked around the table and sat down opposite Cleo. "You know him?" He asked, following her gaze when she looked across to Jack, his curiosity peaked when his two points of interest seemed to collide.

I pause a little, obviously I wasn't being very subtle at all.. "Oh, who? Jack Sparrow?" I ask, though I know who he means, "Of course I do, everybody does."

Bailey smirked a little, with little humour behind it. "Of course." He agreed. "Everyone knows of him and his ridiculous tales, I meant on a more ... personal basis,"

"I trade with him sometimes. He's pretty good at bringing me back some interesting finds." I shrug, "I've spoken to him a few times, but he's not here often enough to really call him anything but an aquaintance. I wouldn't of thought he even remembers my name."
