"No," Mystique said shortly. "All we figured out is that we need Jean to put things right,"

"What if we find the Jean of this time?" Anna suggested, "Maybe she can fix it?"

"No." Mystique said firmly. "We do not talk to anyone of this time, we don't know how much it'll screw with our time,"

"Okay, great. So we're stuck until fate randomly decides to give us a break!" Anna said, throwing her free hand up in the air in defeat.

"Exactly, get used to it," Mystique said, resting her head back against a tree. "Good thing you're young and most your memories involve the X-Men, maybe Logan'll be drawn to the same one,"

Anna pursed her lips, looking over to Mystique curiously. "Where have you guys been? Time-wise?" She wondered.

Mystique met Anna's gaze, for a split second contemplating telling her, but it quickly passed, "It doesn't matter," She said with a casual shrug.

Mystique blinked, clearing her vision to reveal her and Anna, still together, collapsed on Mystique's bed in the X-Mansion. She looked around her, and quickly jumped up, keeping a hold on Anna's hand and dragging her along with her. "C'mon,"

Anna stumbled after her, "Watch out, what if someone sees us!" She hissed.
In the garden outside the mansion, two more X-Men of their time had already arrived at this place a few minutes earlier. Logan had found Jean in a shared memory, after he'd gotten separated from Mystique. He'd soon figured the same thing as Anna had.. they'd lost track of each other cos they weren't in physical contact. So ever since he found Jean, he kept a tight grip on her hand. And since they'd arrived here, Jean had been pressing to try and undo what fake-Jean had caused. Logan had told her no. Not until he found Mystique. He wasn't risking another life that day.
