Jack rolled his eyes at Penny. She enjoyed berating him far too much. "'Course, telling that pansy is one thing - getting him to believe it is another." Jack thought for a moment. "...Which is where you come in."

"Oh really?" She raised an eyebrow in question.

'I know, I know' Serena rolled her eyes at Melchior. He did not seem comfortable at the helm at all, almost seemed as if this was his first journey at sea. 'Well, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to get some breakfast' she said. It was still early and she was extremely hungry. She went back to her cabin, opened the window, which was luckily large enough for her to fit through. Once they were at open sea, she jumped out to get herself a healthy meal of seaweed and more seaweed. Once she was finished, she swam back up and started catching up on the ship, to eventually climb back aboard. 'Guess I won't be doing that every day' she mumbled, quite exhausted from it all. She sat down in a chair, to rest. Her hair was soaking wet, so were her clothes. It took a while for them to dry.
In the meantime a sailor walked downstairs with a jug 'here's some water for ya, don't waste it, this is all you'll be getting to drink today'

"Yes, really," said Jack, hearing footsteps on the stairway. "As per the whatever whatsits of propriety, Melchior would have to hear you, the woman, out, pirate or not. Wouldn't he?" Jack smirked. When the sailor came down with the water, Jack grimaced - as far as he was concerned, it could be laced.
"Thanks, mate."

Penny frowned a little in thought as the sailor passed them the water. She watched him leave again and then turned back to Jack, "Are you saying that I should use my womanly charms to woo him?" She finally concluded, "Do I look that sort of girl to you?"

"Of course I'm not. What kind of a man do you think I am?" Jack snorted. "No, I think you ought to, ehm. Shall we say... appeal to his better nature. Make yourself out to be victimized by the situation - by the 'witch.' Pirate or not, you can sacrifice some ego for a few minutes and play helpless, can you not?" Jack leaned back into the brig and raised his brows. Good thing he was a man; he would never do such a thing.

"Tomorrow." Penny decided, "It's a little too early to come up with a decent excuse."
As the day went on Melchior eventually left the helm, and by the evening he resided in his quarters, staring at charts and logs that would hopefully be of some help to him.

Jack sighed. "As you will, luv."
As the day went on, things grew incredibly boring. Soon, all Jack had for entertainment was his dreadlocks, using the two longest by his face as puppets, having them fight each other (and hoping that Penny wasn't watching).

~Next Day~
Serena did not sleep for very long the night before. She only needed four hours tops and the rest of the night she made plans for Jack Sparrow's death and her coronation... Eventually she left her cabin late in the morning, to get some breakfast.

As Serena came down into the galley for food a man spotted her and made his way over, "The Captain wants to see you in his quarters." he informed her, in a formal tone of voice.
Penny was asleep against the cool, wooden wall at one side of the brig. As uncomfortable as it seemed the fatique had got to her eventually and so she slept without trouble.
