Jack immediately stopped making faces and turned to face Penny, having heard the noise. "Shit." He got up and began pacing. "We're not supposed to be here." He hoped desperately that they would be able to leave the brig.

Serena raised an eyebrow at Melchior 'there is no better technical term, sir' she told him and opened the book to a paige that explained about Grindylows 'the first ship was surrounded by Grindylows. The crew was lured into the water, the ship lost at sea, the directions changed. The second ship was doomed thanks to the spirits of Rusalka's, leading them into a completely different direction... and the third logbook.. I couldn't even find an explanation in my book of ocean creatures.. These waters are haunted and I can't guess what is coming our way to stop our voyage'
The screaming even woke up one of the guards 'huh, huh, what's that?' he asked, looking over at Penny and Jack to see if the prisoners were still there.

Penny stood and looked between the guard and Jack, "Maybe it were a whale or something." She guessed, due to the screech and the splash.
Melchior looked at Serena for a while, judging her intently, "It's obviously code for some sort of stormy water, rocks, maybe. Not the ghouls you're dreaming of."

Jack raised a brow at all the screaming that was going on outside. "What kind of whale does that? Then again, you're probably right... since we can't really see what's going on out there... It was probably nothing." Jack still had his doubts, however.

Serena was surprised at his reaction. 'eh.. why did you ask me to deceipher this in the first place when you're only going to believe your own word ?' she shook her head. 'Fine, whatever, I can't make a blind man see if he doesn't want to see' she took her book back. Right at that moment shouts from deck were heard 'MAN OVERBOAAAAAAAAARD'

Melchior instantly frowned and ran outside to the decks.. his gaze darted around until he saw a group of men at the side of the ship, "GET AWAY FROM THE RAILINGS, GET AWAY FROM THERE." He ordered in a loud, deep voice, and a he did rain began to fall from the sky. He looked up at the suddenly grey clouds and then turned back to where Serena had been near the door, "You should get into your cabin, it looks like there's a storm brewing. He probably slipped off the slide due to the rain."
When they heard man over-board she quickly walked over to the bars, staring at the guard who stood there, staring over to the steps that led back up to the decks, "Go find out what it was." She ordered him, not caring at all that she was in no position to do so.

'Whatever ye want, captain' she told him and shook her head at his cluelessness. She headed below deck and as she passed the stairs to the brig, she heard the guard, who did what Penny said walk up. 'What do you think you're doing?' she asked 'aren't you supposed to guard the brig?'
'eh.. yes madame, but.. I was wondering, what is going on up there?' 'not much, we just lost a crewmember, that's all..' she smirked and walked him down the stairs again 'let's not worry about that huh ? you should just do your job and make sure this scum does not leave this place' she turned to Jack and Penny 'alright, guys?'

Penny scowled at Serena as she approached them, "I bet it was you, killing off crew members now, are we?"

'hm...good guess, but no, not this time. These waters are pretty haunter, but then again, since you two claimed to have sailed this route many times before, you probably already knew what was lurking in these waters, waiting to ruin the ship'.

Penny looked over to Jack for some enlightenment.
Meanwhile, on the decks another man had fallen. Nobody had witnessed it, so again they put it down to the rain. Melchior stood back up at the helm and took charm of the wheel.
