Penny rolled her eyes, thinking is a silly idea.. "And now what, Jack?" She muttered, "Shall we swin to freedom?! God knows what's happenin' up there, I'd rather have reason to stay out of it."
He frowned down at Serena, rain dripping from the brim of his hat, "Unless you have any skill in taking down a canvas, you should stay inside." He ordered, as men started to take down the sails to lessen the strength of the storm against the ship.

Serena muttered something under her breath and turned around. Fine, let him loose all his crew and die on this sea. I don't need him anyway she thought to herself. She went below decks and headed to the kitchen where she got herself some fruit, then she headed to her cabin, sat down at the desk and wrote down the features of the things in the water that had caused the death of a few crewmembers already.

Jack smirked. "I never said anything about joining the lovely party upstairs, luv." He held his wrists up so as to show her his manacles. "I suggest we go up one deck. Crew's cabins. Given all the commotion, all the ship's hands will be on the poop deck, giving us time to find something to remove these."

".. Why?!" She demanded, "We have no weapons, they will just put us back down here once they find us.. which will be sooner than you seem to imagine."

Jack pondered this. "The sooner we are free, the sooner we may bargain with the captain. He doesn't seem to be in a very good position, mate. If he's got any common sense at all... and I hope he does... he'll have to listen to us. Of all of those on board this ship, I am most qualified to, ah, deal with these waters." Jack, of course, had only sailed through the area twice, and he'd often left his crew to deal with the beasts in the sea. However, if it meant his freedom on the ship, he'd be willing to make a fair trade.

"He doesn't seem in much of a position to bargain at this moment in time." Penny argued, "You're an idiot, he's an idiot, I can't believe I'm here." She complained.

"Well then, if he can't bargain, he'll have to deal with us," Jack snapped. "Women," he muttered.

In the meantime Melchior was witnessing more and more of his men fall over board. He gave the wheel over to the nearest person to him, and then ran down to the decks, "ALL OF YOU, BELOW DECKS, NOW!" He ordered, telling only a few to stay and keep an eye on the surface of the ship, instructing them to stay away from the edges until the end of the storm.

Jack heard footsteps coming down the stairs, and turned to Penny. "What now?"

'AyeAy, Captain' a crewmember said, and together with the others he followed the captain belowdecks.
Serena heard the footsteps passing her cabin and for a second she wondered what was going on. She decided against finding out what was going on and continued her research.
