Astoria rolled her eyes. "Right. . . Look, why don't ya start treatin' me like ya would any of yer other crew. Like I'm a man. How would ya treat them if they were caught lyin' to ya?"

Jack shrugged.
"If ya insist", he said. "But, because I know who ya really are and because yer a girl, I'm gonna make ya work harder than the others. Like now, ya are ta stay here until morning. See ya in the morning, Asty."
Jack climbed out of the crow's nest. He smiled thinking how long it would take for her to crack.

Astoria stared at him out of the corner of her eye as he left, but didn't say a word. She was just glad to finally be rid of him. . . Although she couldn't help but spend the whole night wondering why he was being so nice to her and why he was asking about her so much before he knew who she was. To keep herself from falling asleep she began to sing a song she always sung, though didn't know where she knew it from. It kind of sounded like a lullaby a mother would sing to their child before bed.

*Timeskip*
Jack walked out onto the deck the next morning. He decided to check up on Astoria to see if she was alright or if she had fallen asleep. Jack climbed up the ropes to the crow's nest.
"Astoria?" he called. "Are ya up there?"
Jack reached the top and found her sleeping while leaning against the edge of the wood.
"Asty", he said. "Wake up, sleeping beauty."

Astoria had fallen asleep about an hour before Jack came out, so by they time he tried waking her up she was lost in her dreams. However when Jack woke her up, she jumped and yelled something completely incoherent. When she realized Jack was standing there looking down at her, she felt stupid for yelling whatever random thing it was that she just said.

"Sleep well, love?" Jack asked.
He had no idea what Astoria was yelling when she woke up and decided not to press the matter.

She stretched, yawned and pulled herself to her feet. "All things considered. . . Yes." She said almost smugly.

"Now how 'bout joinin' me fer breakfast?" Jack asks. "You would like ta eat, wouldn' ya Asty? Get some meat on that thin figure o' yers."
He pointed at her body.

She shoved past him at her nickname that she hated. . . Which he seemed to love by the way. "I happen to like my figure just the way it is." She began climbing down. "But yes I would like to eat. . . But because I'm hungry, not because I wanna eat with you!" Once on the dock, she made her way to the kitchen.

Jack followed Astoria into his cabin. Luckily there were no other crew mates on deck at the time. He'd have a hard time explaining to them about this.
"Now what would ya like, love?" he asked her. "Choose what ya want, Asty."
